I picked this up to muddle orange peel and cherries to perfect my Wisconsin Old Fashions. Very durable, it feels very sturdy and ergonomic in your hand. Muddles perfectly to get that extra fresh flavor in your drinks. If you don't know what a muddler does it basically is like taking a maraschino cherry and cutting it into many little pieces, releasing more flavor in the process. Cleans very easily and looks very attractive next to my other barware. Also great for starting conversations when people ask what you are doing when making the a tasty Old Fashioned.

Recently I was on a cruise ship and spent afternoons by the pool bar. Watching the bartender make some of the best margaritas I ever had, I quickly picked up on his "method". He would take 3 slices of lime and first muddle them in the mixing glass very thoroughly. Then he added the regular ingredients and shook really hard and poured over ice. The muddled limes added a very distinct flavor and so I bought yours so that I could duplicate the taste. Your muddler is very high quality and I am pleased with its ability to easily muddle my limes for my margaritas. I have also experimented with lemon and orange and the flavors extracted are wonderful.

Nice weight, nice material. I bought this as my travel muddler and is great for that purpose.I like my muddlers with a little more of a spread on the head which are hard to find. Muddlers don't have to be about alcohol. They make great drinks with just lime sugar cubes and mint and soda water. Kids love to muddle their drinks and use a third sugar they would in soft drinks or juice.
