I like, but don’t love this light. Initially, I ordered a blue one, but the switch did not work properly. The light would not stay on without holding the switch. There were no more blue ones, so I ordered this one. Based on the packaging, I kind of suspect that I got a refurbished model. This one works, but I feel like it is not as nicely finished as the first where the bendable neck meets the base, not does it seem as bright. Also the regular light doesn’t seat well when snapped on. All of this makes me wonder how long it will actually last. The best part of this light is the clear magnifier option. The product seems ok, but not great.

Having asked questions, I felt secure ordering this item. Also saw one like it in a store (at a higher price). Wanted to avoid hunching over at the sewing machine due to aging vision. The magnifier attachment is a circle 2-7/8" diameter, about an inch of which is occupied by a "sweet spot" with higher magnification. It really needs to be a bit larger or a rectangular shape, and no sweet spot. The whole thing is to be affixed to the machine with a small Command strip, which needs to be larger. The provided clip can't hold onto any part of my machine without getting in the way, and the gooseneck is too short anyway. Am now debating returning it, since the small circle gives a lot of distortion to viewing the sewing needle area. I would end up hunching over still, and it's killing my neck and back. It's no fun getting old, but this product offers little assistance.

I bought this from Amazon after returning one I had purchased from Joann Fabrics. That one had a loose attachment for the light/magnifyer. Unfortunately, the loose fit was not just a one-time problem. The second one is loose as well. The light itself is good, but I have to be careful not to jostle it or the light goes off. Great idea because you can stick it pretty much anywhere.

This item is not worth the money. It's very filmsy and will not stay where you put it. I highly recommend finding another.

I had managed to break my trifocal computer glasses and needed the magnification to do my diamond painting projects. I picked this OttLite because I can also adhere it to my sewing machine and it is compact and portable.

Powerful little clip on light for use when using my Lowery stand and Qsnaps frame. Does not disturb anyone else in the room if they are watching tv. Definitely a 5***** product.

As a sewing machine light it is difficult to fix on sewing machine. Consequently, you don't always light up the bit you need.Would not recommend it for a sewing machine, might be better as a reading/desk light

Great that it comes with batteries also.
