Safavieh Home Collection Brooklyn 7 Tier Etagere, Gold and Clear

I chose this because I recently got rid of my bookcases from the '80s and needed something with lots of shelves that was also nice-looking. I knew this piece's shelves had a weight limit, and I thought I was being very mindful of that as I placed my books onto it, but when I go to remove a book, the unit sort of sways. I should probably have used the hardware it came with for securing it to the wall. Anyway, it was very easy to assemble, and it's very pretty.

I like the color - so many gold bookshelves are actually brown. This one is a brassy gold. The actual quality is poor. The finish is not smooth. Soldering in the bars/squares is obvious. The are chips and divots in various places. If the packaging didn’t arrive torn and beat up, I’d send it back for a refund. Hopefully, the damages aren’t too noticeable over time. At most, this should be $150 for the quality, and that is pushing it. I’ve seen nicer, better quality furniture at IKEA.

Beautiful and easy enough to assemble as one person. The whole thing is very heavy and when flat packed, I had to have a neighbor help bring the box up the stairs. Once assembled, it’s gorgeous and elegant.

I purchased this for an attorney's office. She loves it. It looks great. Very nice quality.
