Ethics for Behavior Analysts: 2nd Expanded Edition

'Ethics for Behavior Analysts' by Jon Bailey and Mary Burch is a must have for anyone currently studying Applied Behavio(u)r Analysis. I myself am studying for the Msc in ABA and i am so glad i bought this book. Within this book is the Guideline of Responsible Conduct for Behavior Analysts and case scenarios of ethical dilemmas that behaviour analysts out in the field have faced. In addition, i found the section 'A Dozen Practical Tips for Ethical Conduct on Your First Job' to be a really useful add-on and i already know that i'm going to find this an invaluable book to have when i do (fingers crossed) get that first job as a behaviour analyst!

Excellent product!

Great book

I am only halfway through reading this text for an advanced ABA class, but I am very impressed with it. It is organized the same as the ethical guidelines listed by the BACB, which makes it easy to use to study for the BCBA/BCaBA exams. It provides vignettes to present various ethical situations, and gives the reader the chance to think about how they would deal with a similar issue, and then discusses the generally accepted ethical response(s) which are appropriate for BAs to use.I also bought the older version of this book as an ebook because it was specifically what my professor wanted us to buy. This newer edition is expanded and has more situations and covers more issues and problems, but is very similar to the older edition, which I also think is very good.I find that the vignettes allow me to better visualize ethical situations which could arise, and also allow me to reflect on times I have been in similar situations on the job. I can compare how I responded then to how the guidelines suggest I respond, and this has allowed me to better deal with some situations and to feel more confident with others. I also can see that this book will be very useful to turn to if I find myself in a murky ethical situation and I need to clarify the problems involved to manage them with the utmost confidence that I am fulfilling my ethical duties as a BA.

This is an excellent text and practical handbook for the practitioner. I am using this book as part of an Ethics course, and it's great! Easy to read, lots of practical examples, and great advice--and the authors relate everything to the specific BACB Guidelines. Great book!
