Narrated by Charles Dance, the critically acclaimed “Savage Kingdom" returns to the remote wilderness of Africa as a rebellion begins. The sins of the lion king Sekekama are carried on by his bloodthirsty sons. This time, sons plot to overthrow fathers, clans seek revenge on their enemies and new arrivals enter the Savage Kingdom to stake their claim.

Hands down my all time favorite TV Show
Why on Earth did they cancel this amazing show? I LOVE watching lions and elephants on Nat Geo but since this was canceled and even the last season was never completed so I never got to see what happened, I have had a hard time watching any other lions show. This was hands down the best story. The narrator was fantastic. The writing was captivating. I was (and still am) captivated by SakaKoma (spelling.) The king of all Kings and also, should be drinking his water out of a "Worlds Greatest Dad and Husband cup." Most male lions are scavenging jerks. Sakakoma was such a good dad. He made time for his cubs, he was nice to them, would watch them when everyone went hunting but he would also go hunting.NO ONE is tougher than Sakakoma...this guy wrestled male buffalo to the ground himself. But he also made sure his male son knew how to take down a buffalo. In season 1 they made him out to be ruthless. But in Season 2 you see that he is not. He is just being a lion but he is the BEST lion.WHY WHY WHY, was this show canceled and in the middle of season 2?!?! It makes no sense and it's not fair. Now, I'll never get to find out what happened.I know that if NatGeo brought the show back that if they just advertised it better, people would watch. OR if you just put it on NetFlix. NetFlix makes all shows look amazing even if they arent. But this show IS! Even people who don't normally watch NatGeo would like this. But people just don't watch cable any more.PLEASE BRING IT BACK!!!If you havent watched the season in a half that are out, do yourself a favor and watch it. Of course, you'll end up heart broken and curious like I am. But Sakakoma is amazing and you should see for yourself. Do yourself a favor and watch it!

Another triumph ! Another magical journey to the enchanted realm of the lions.
I love Africa and its golden sunsets by the Zambese river. I am one of the few people who was lucky to live in Mozambique for few months. Watching the Savage Kingdon I was back in time and the memories of extreme joy and discoveries came to my mind. This second season is just brilliant ! It is an odd to the limitless beauty of nature and the strong wisdom of its habitants the animals.

I am life... I am death...
Narrator Charles Dance purrs over the immaculately shot footage that tells a story in unforgiving bushveld. The characters are well drawn, the story well told, coaxed from the events on screen into a narrative that is as propulsive as it is brutal. No plot armor here for the cast of nature. One of the best documentary events of the year, and better than any movie in theaters.
