WE NEEDED THIS IN OUR OFFICE, and we didn't even know it.
When our traditional inkjet desktop printer finally died last month, we weren't surprised - we always knew that the day would come when it would finally happen. We run a group practice and we print a lot of documents. So when it came a time, to shop for a printer; it was a little bit daunting. First, because we asked "what do we need" and second because we then noticed "oh my god there are so many options listed". This is an excellent printer, and it is one that we truly enjoy using, while it allows for our staff to print and stay efficient. We are so SO happy that we purchased this item.We knew that we wanted to move over from an inkjet to a laser printer. We knew that we needed to find an "all in one" with fax, scan and all of the basic office bells and whistles. When "Brother" came up, we were intially hesitant to buy it because we weren't too familiar with this brand. Compared to HP printers or other competing brands, the "brother" brand seemed unknown. We noticed that this brand had high rating reviews and a lot of really enthusiastic user experiences. So we decided to give it a try. . . and we are now happy to join in on that enthusiastic customer experience !. This particular printer makes office work in a day to day - very easy. Scan to email, double-sided scanning, faxing, printing - all of the features of this printer are superb.Setting this up was easy, however we did run into a few of our own Wifi connection issues when trying to keep the printer connected. There was an issue with print jobs not starting up because the printer was in idle mode, and something was not seeming to connect. We learned that by adding the printer into our computer system through the printers IP address solved that problem.Highly recommended purchase, one of our office favorites this year !.

Fabulous Color Laser Printer
It's big. It's heavy. Look at the measurements, then look at the space where you want it to go, and make sure there is room. I have seen comments about banding in solid colors or in photos, but I have seen none of this. I don't print photos on it, but I've printed documentation with lots of graphics and colored, textured backgrounds and it is all really, really clean and good. Very happy with the print quality. You may have also read about the slowness of printing the first page. This is true. The first page takes many many seconds, as much as a couple of minutes, depending on complexity, to come out. If you are printing multiple copies, the copies come out quickly. If you are printing a 100 page document, single copy, it will take many many minutes to complete. A 100 page complex, color document can take an hour or more. This is a not a problem for me, I'm happy to wait for the high-quality print to complete. But if you are looking for speedy printing, this isn't your printer. If you looking for outstanding print quality, you can hardly do better.

We were starting to wonder if there were no decent printers left in the world...
When our old all-in-one surrendered to old age, we spent weeks trying to find a good replacement.Every single printer we looked at had too many unhappy customers. Too many complaints of odd failures, random issues and wasted ink.We came across this and noticed the cheaper print cost and the generally higher level of customer satisfaction. I had experience with BROTHER branded printers at work, and we had a few BROTHER label printers, so we decided to splurge and get this more expensive option.I work from home as does my wife, and 4 of my kids are doing distance learning from home. We needed print/scan/fax capabilities and I didn't want to be held hostage by ridiculous ink costs. We did have some issues getting this product. The thing said it was about to be delivered for several days then just said it was lost. We were quickly refunded our money and went out locally and bought the exact same model for a little more money. I don't fault the shipper...it looks like the carrier screwed it up.Since receiving our printer we have been incredibly happy with it.- This thing is lightning fast for a residential printer. It receives the print jobs over wifi, wakes up, and spits out quality prints faster than anything we have owned in the past.- Previous printers would randomly lose connection with the network or refuse to scan to certain computers. With the exception of one software update, this printer has never forgotten where it was or declined to cooperate with any of the 7 computers, 2 tables or 2 phones that print to it or receive data from it.- The cost per page is much lower than with an inkjet. Toner last longer, puts out more pages, is less likely to hold you hostage because the magenta is out or some nonsense.- Not that it matters too much, but it is a good looking machine and doesn't take up much more space than a standard residential printer. All in all, if you have the extra cash to spend up front, this thing will make it worth your while and may even pay for itself in the long run. We are very glad that we spent the extra money and don't have any complaints about this machine after several months of use, which seems to be very rare these days with modern residential printers.
