A few days beck, I went on amazon to buy a new mic for my work from home and make casual videos. I heard somewhere that boya has the best mics BUT IT IS NOT TRUE because some people told me that the boya mic needs a battery and has a unnecessary long cable which gets tangled very often and I suppose that you very well know that un-tangling a long cable is a nightmare so I decided to get a mic from some other brand and when I started searching for a good mic which had some good reviews I came across the MAONO AU-400 Microphone. Firstly, when I saw the packaging of the microphone and the accessories included in there product photos I was pretty sure that the mic would cost a ton but little did I know that it only costed 298INR which was way cheap. Of course we all have a default opinion that If an item is cheap its quality would not be up to the mark and I also thoght the same, but after reading some reviews I realised that this is a great product. NOW LET'S GET TO THE REVIEW the product was delivered within 3 days and as soon as I open the packing I found a box in pristine condition and my bill. Inside the box you get a carrying pouch which is of great quality and feels nice to touch, the microphone itself and a 4pole to 3pole jack converter which was gold plated to connect the mic with a camera and record audio. The mic has a 4pole jack so I can be directly connected to your smartphones or laptops unlike some other microphones which require an audio splitter which will cost you another 70-80 Rupees, which is a nice thing The audio quality was also great but I think my mic had a some kind of problem as I was also capturing some wind noises as soon as I noticed it I contacted the customer care and I was provided with an instant solution for my problem. 5-STARS TO THE BRAND's CUSTOMER CARE. MY MIC NOW WORKS PERFECTLY AND I AM VERY HAPPY WITH MY PURCHARE. Below are some things I like: 1. 4-pole jack. 2. It picks up sound equally from all directions. 3. 78 inches long cord. 4. An Extra 3-pin Adapter for DSLR. 5. A good carrying pouch. 6. Excellent Service.

⚠️ I gave 3 stars only so this warning is visible. | Replaced mic twice even tho it's not working continuous cracking sound | not working This is honestly the worst product I have ever purchased. I know my experience may sound unbelievable or exaggerated, but trust me. I am not writing this out of rage or hatred. I replaced the mic twice, yet all three units had problems. My ₹500, time, and patience were completely wasted. The mic frequently fails to capture my voice on Discord, Zoom, and Google Meet. Sometimes it produces only horrible cracking sounds, even when the fan is off. Audacity and other audio tools could not fix it. Spend ₹200–₹300 more and buy a BOYA M1 for around ₹700–₹800. I used one for years without these problems. Bhai, trust me ₹500 bachane ke chakkar mein yeh mic mat lena; thode aur paise laga kar BOYA M1 le lo 700-800 ma aa jayega , warna paisa aur time dono waste honge.

Even slight movement creates noise, making it unusable for serious recording. 👉 Strong advice to other customers: DO NOT BUY this product. It is a complete waste of money and time. There are far better microphones available at this price.

Amazing microphone for the price. The sound quality is clear and noise is very low. Easy to use and perfect for YouTube videos, reels, and voice recording. Highly recommended!

The mic quality is good but it didn't remove background sound.
