Mason Salt Cellar - Ceramic Salt Cellar With Lid - Rustic Farmhouse Decor (Blue)

I had an adorable piglet salt pig from Gina Nealy’s collection and it’s ears chipped and one day when drying it off it fell and broke. Sooo… after searching high and low for something similar, I abandoned my quest and settled on this little salt “pig”.It’s lightweight for its size- but it holds a fair amount of salt and I like the cover. I live in the humid south which can make salt clump into a solid glob, and that kid keeps my salt pinchable at all times. :)It would make a great gift for the chef or home cook in your life.

2/2022 update: I still use this for sea salt and it keeps the salt dry. Better than my larger bamboo salt cellar.2020: Great salt cellar. I have other items in this line and when I needed a cellar to hold sea salt I found this. It's perfect for my needs.It holds a lot of salt and seals well. It looks good sitting on the counter.I have a small bamboo salt cellar for regular table salt and a larger bamboo cellar for Kosher salt so I needed another one for Sea salt. I wanted something different from the other two so I could differentiate between them. This fits the bill perfectly.As for the other items in the line, I love them. I use the measuring cups as prep bowls. I have the salt and pepper shakers.

Very nice salt cellar. It’s the perfect size with a wide mouth for easy access and holds a generous amount of salt. The color is perfect and I appreciate that it has a rubber seal to prevent salt from absorbing moisture. I’m so glad I purchased this one!Update: The rubber seal was inadequate to keep salt free of moisture. I live in a tropical environment and found the salt hardened the day after I started use. So disappointed.

Couldn’t get the lid off of the first one I received as the rubber seal had melted to the jar. Returned it and received the 2nd one quickly. Perfect condition. Really like the design and the fact that it has a seal to keep salt from clumping.

Salt cellar does an excellent job of keeping salt from clumping. My only negative comment is that I have arthritic hands and the top can be a little difficult to get off, which is not the fault of the product but my own limitations.

This salt cellar is both adorable and highly functional. The lid has a rubber seal around the inside, which keeps the lid on tight (but not so tight that you can't easily remove it with one hand for salt access while cooking) and keeps the salt dry (no moisture seeping in under the lid). And did I mention how cute it is?! Very pretty color and cute Mason jar-esque design.

I use it to have right on hand on my counter pinches of a mixture of Colima Sea Salt and Seasonello iodized sea salt from Italy since I have followed a Ketogenic way of eating for three years, which requires more salt intake. It makes it convenient not to have to fool with opening a bag or jar every time. And it looks good on the counter.

I had to break it to open it. It’s cute but poorly made. The rubber seal was glued to the lid and bottom. I couldn’t get the lid off so my husband tried. When he did the top broke and the bottom is chipped. Very disappointed. If they would have made it right it wouldn’t have broken.

El salero es muy bonito, pero solo lo utilizaré como decoración. La tapa es muy pesada y el sello no ajusta, a veces se cae dentro de la sal.
