Worth every penny. I won't buy another pair for a while!
These are amazing. I bought the KZ EST for $17 a while ago. They were great, but nothing to write home about. They fit well enough but there was a bit missing on the low end, though it was hard to tell until I got these.I'm disappointed I waited so long! These KZ IEMs are amazing. I have the QC35 and Sony M1000X2 over-ear headphones and I prefer the sound I get out of these IEMs. They do not have noise cancelling, but they fit great and block out lots of ambient sound. I wouldn't drive with these in, for example, even without music playing they muffle the road and engine sound so much it feels like a dream.I hate the static of Bluetooth and Noise cancelling headphones. The only thing my over-ears do better with is Bass, and only the Sony lets you literally vibrate your head, but it's tricky to get it to sound right and sometimes less is more. These sound amazing for the price, far better than my Bose Soundsport, whereas the KZ EST was more equivalent to the Soundsport. These are more sensitive and actually get WAY louder--and sound great at high volumes that actually leave my ears ringing! Be careful when maxing them out!At 3x the price of the EST, they are still only 1/3 or even 1/6 the price of brand name headphones that they sound better than. The monitors feel smooth and pleasantly heavier than my last pair of KZ, and they're still comfortable to wear for hours and to even lay down on the side of my head!If you're thinking about getting these, just try it. I'm not going to try the other KZ models, I wanted one with 5 drivers and I liked the idea of all 5 being Balanced Armature drivers. I would try the others but I don't want to send anything back, I'm afraid I'd just keep whatever I buy! Some tips, these work fine with your phone's built in headphone jack and equalizer. You can add bass if you want, but I prefer it neutral and accurate. Samsung has a "customize sound" mode--DONT use that. It makes a really bad static sound not just in these headphones but with all headphones starting at volume 26. I thought I had blown my DAC but it was just so clear that I could hear the static better at low volumes!Recommended EQ setting: lower the lowest frequency band by one notch (the furthest to the left). You can switch back and forth to see the small difference. I think it just sounds a bit better for most songs.Update: it's been a week and I've used no other headphones. This is a first for me! I love these still. My only complaint is that it makes unprofessionally mixed songs (techno/electronic stuff, pop songs and remixes) really raw, so you can tell when you're listening to a badly mastered song. That's right, my complaint is that these sound TOO good and make me seek out better music.

Works well for IEM (In Ear Monitor)
I stumbled on this brand many ears ago when Amazon was young. These are good quality. I've only needed to replace them due to loss, never due to poor workmanship. Very clear across the whole musical spectrum. Even the Bass response is good. They are clear at low volume, too. I prefer them over the SE425 for clarity at low volume.

Stop reading and just buy these...right now.
I honestly can't say enough great things about these buds. They have knocked it out of the park with these.Make sure you find the right tips though, they will dramatically change the sound you get from these, if you don't have a nice seal, they're going to sound weak (as is the case with any earbuds). The sound:For this price, you honestly can't beat the sound from these. I have the Bose QC 35 II's for travel and quality and they're good, but these honestly outclass my Bose in sound quality. They have a much fuller sound and have a great sound stage. The Bose will always be my go-to for creating a quiet space, but these will always be my go-to for anything else audio related. The bass is nice and present - it doesn't pound away at you like some 'bass-boosted' earbuds or headphones do, but the bass is definitely there. When you crank it up, it will get punchy for those who enjoy that, but you will be able to differentiate the bass/lows from the mids and highs in a truly unique way. For the casual audiophile or someone who is new to the space or looking for an upgrade, I like to call these the "hit it and quit it" earbuds because every instrument, note, sound effect etc. has a newly defined purpose. They hit and immediately back off. No more are the days of sounds bleeding together making it sound like one jumbled sound orgy in your ear.The mids are absolutely perfect. They're extremely well balanced and slot in beautifully to support the lows and the highs. The highs are right in that sweet spot of being distinguishable without ever reaching that point of shrill as you get in some other products. The notes ring true the higher and higher they go which is something you can't find everywhere.Comfort:These things are absolutely comfortable, both on and in-ear. I wear glasses and these sit nicely tucked behind my ear and I have never felt any sort of pain, unless I'm forcefully pulling on the cable for some reason, but that's my own fault, otherwise these are extremely comfortable. In-ear they're a blessing. Like I said, find the right tips. I use the medium size ones that come pre-installed and found that they work the best. But these don't have any sort of proprietary fitting to them, so if you love your custom tips, you can slap those on here too.Value for the money?Hell. Yes.I just compared these to a roughly $300 pair of headphones that are arguably the best in their class. While there are MUCH more expensive peripherals out there in both departments, for the general consumer who is willing to spend a good amount for quality, I can HIGHLY recommend these as the go-to earbuds over all else...and they don't even break the bank. If I dropped these out of my car and they were run over, I would immediately purchase another pair and not have to worry about budgeting for them.I can't recommend these enough. They are everything you've been looking for. Think back to all of the investments you've made in the past and how they've disappointed you...these will do no such thing. They're great for Hi-Fi audio, gaming, and podcasting/content creating, and overall casual listening.
