A beautifully produced book, highly recommended.
A beautifully produced book about one the great iconic competition cars of the 1950's. Great collection of period photos reproduced in good quality, and detaled research on the development of the D-types by Jaguar. Highly recommended for anyone interested in this period of motorsport.

One of the last gentlemen racers and good enough to get a Ferrari drive
A car and driver (Peter Sutcliiffe)) that I knew very well being a student at Huddersfield Technical College with Peter. He always arrived in very interesting cars, Frazer-Nash Le Mans and Sebring, Aston Martin DB3s Coupe JB16, Jaguar D type, or his parents Lagondas' Saloon and DHC.The book does justice to this much raced, and crashed, D type and the local firms involved in it's rebuilds. One of the last gentlemen racers and good enough to get a Ferrari drive, built more like Hamilton, Duncan not Lewis, than Moss he must have had a power/weight problem.Highly recommended.
