Helicopter Man: Igor Sikorsky and His Amazing Invention (Genius at Work! Great Inventor Biographies)
R**.
Very simple, very inspiring
This is a quick and beautiful book on the story of Igor Sikorsky, a great man who, due to his strength, intelligence and courage, invented the helicopter starting from the studies of Leonardo da Vinci' s flying machines designs. Nor has to be forgotten his good heart, one of his biggest motivations was to rescue people lost at sea... He can be considered the father of Search and Rescue Services.Of course he found many difficulties in this great challenge, he moved from soviet Russia to the U.S., land of opportunity, passing through Europe. This book is also an example of how the Light spread by such a Great Man can shine even on common people and inspire the strength of chasing dreams, never give up, even if the challenges in common life can' t be as such.

A must read for kids ages 6 and up
A wonderful way to introduce an amazing inventor, scientist, engineer, enterpreneur, aviator, author and aircraft designer to the younger generations. Igor Sikorsky is a very good role model and should always be taught to elementary and high school kids.
