Like many marine tank owners I have high nitrates. When I say high nitrates I mean really high nitrates. Before I started running these biopellets I was around 160ppm nitrates using the API test kit. I started with 40% of the full recommendation and let that run for 6 weeks. I saw no noticeable change in the nitrates during the first 6 weeks. At the 6 week mark I increased to 80% of the full recommendation which happens to be the entire 900ml container. After several weeks my nitrates dropped to 80ppm and are currently around 40ppm. So far I've had no negative issues running the biopellets.

Reef aquarium parameter had been steady due to this pearl and beneficial bacteria had been helpful to my corals

I get this product because I not have any bacteria on my thank the water is clean god quality and I use on the reactor for marine , and other for fresh water fish the only thing is to price..

Once established these bio-pellets work well, just a bit too expensive !

Great product from Dr. Tim. I have exclusively used this bio pellets in my tank for 1 year in my reef octopus reactor. They're great! They tumble well and do not clump in the reactor like other products I've tried. When paired with a good reactor on a slow tumble they are very effective at phosphate and nitrate removal in your aquarium.

I would give it 5 starts, i wish it come with larger pallet.
