The Lucy quilt was in a bag within a box. Clearly new and clean. I immediately washed it and it washed well. One wash removed the chemical smell that most new fabrics have. I tossed the throw pillows in the dryer for an hour and they turned out great. I had previously purchased a different brand of quilt that is for sale at both Kohls and Amazon and the quality of that quilt looked terrible so I returned it right after it arrived. This one blew it out of the water. It is a heavier quilt and well stitched. The colors are pretty true to the picture but the ivory part is a tad darker in person. That didn’t make or break my decision. It pairs well with ivory and taupe. Definitely would purchase a quilt from Madison Park again.

I am very happy with this. It fits into my sea-aqua and weathered wood, beach-themed decor quite nicely (yeah I know it's a garden pattern but I was just glad, after so much searching, to find the right colors!). It is the right weight for year-round use in mid-Florida, it hangs well, appears to be of sturdy construction. I agree with other raters that the throw pillows are a little cheap but I think that can be worked around and I think are good enough for a set that is under $100. I really wish it had a tailored bedskirt as it is hard to find matching aqua (found a one from Amazon but it is lighter in color and gathered rather than tailored and just not so perfect but will have to do). I read where someone else complained that the backing (on theirs) was white and not grey, but mine is grey, which I agree, is probably looks better.The thing that convinced me I'd made a right choice was sleeping under it. The "energy" of cotton is so much better than polyester. I paid $130 at Bed Bath and Beyond for just a bedspread, only to get it home and realize the back was polyester. Yuuch! You can't have an intimate connection with a piece of plastic (that's essentially what polyester is), or if you can't then you haven't tried cotton or other natural fibers. After taking that expensive piece of trash back, I am now so happy with this that I gave it a five even though it isn't perfect, but for the price, it's about as perfect as it's going to get.

I love this bedding set for the option of displaying it for a masculine or feminine aesthetic. The quilt is lightweight, large enough to reach the bed skirt on all sides of our bed and overall it is beautiful. However, the accompanying throw pillow I was most excited about to tie it all together is completely lacking in quality control. The pattern was sewn crooked, the buttons are not symmetrically aligned from one side of the pillow to the other and the pleat detail is sewn on crooked where it does not lay flat from the top of the pillow to the bottom of the pillow - it flips over. It looks so shoddy as the front decorative pillow for the set. I don't know if there is any way to have this pillow exchanged, but from other reviews I've read about different aspects of people's orders, it seemed there wasn't a way. I will further research to see if I can change it out. Otherwise, I'm pleased with the set. Warning though... the throw pillows come vacuum packed as flat as pancakes. It takes a few days for them to fully expand - including the stuffing reaching into the corners of the pillows.

Beautiful color as described

This is a great bed set. I ordered a coverlet set specifically because I like the weight. No, it is not a comforter. It is thin. I prefer that, it's a bug, not a feature. The stripe of flowers is vertical not horizontal. You can put it on the bed however you like because a King is *almost* square but technically it is supposed to go vertical. When you place the flowers vertical, it falls correctly on the mattress and hangs down the right amount for a platform bed. Large mattresses will need matching sheets or a dust ruffle but I feel this set suits modern bedrooms best. Throw pillows are so cute and I think the yellow matches. Maybe I'm just old? Great quality, great design, great price. Purchase this.

It’s a nice cover with shams and it looks beautiful on my bed because my bedroom is in gray and white. The pillows could be a bit more fuller as they are pretty flat but they’re only accent pillows, so it’s OK. Great size as I bought the queen.

I ordered a king for my queen bed because I find the queen not wide enough to cover the sheet and blanket on both sides of bed. I also ordered 2 king pillows for the shams and like that they cover the full width of the bed. I would have liked some yellow on the shams. The comforter lies nice and smooth and looks classy and clean.

Would recommend. Bought this for my mother who wanted to brighten up the room. The extra cushions aren't top quality, but serve to add visual interest. Bought the king size coverlet for a queen and it covers it well. Suspect the queen will be too small for queen sized bed (Australia) based on the fit of the king sized purchased. The pastel colours are light but pleasant and the pink, grey and white go well with mixed furnishings. Found several offering this package, but this was very well priced by comparison. Worth comparing before you buy as some were offering this products for near twice the price. Received quickly and packaged very tightly in plastic (not in a box) to easy to manage from post office to home.
