Dolce Vita

Bought it from iTunes, love it, love him, so bought the cd to play on my new tv. It is gorgeous. For a German opera singer to be able to sing like that in Italian is just amazing. Ladies, have you seen him in concerts with the girls? He has a smile and a twinkle in his eye as he comes on stage. You are never too old to fall in love with a singer like him. The same concert is on DVD with Jonas driving his open car in the sunshine and him singing in his concert hall filled with his fans.

I ordered this record after having heard Kaufmann's rendering of "Con te partiró" on Norwegian broadcasting classic channel. His forceful voice added a new dimension to this popular song. His beautiful tenor is eminently suited to the well-known Italian songs on the record, like "Volare", "Ritorna a Sorriento" etc. In the theme from the Godfather his voice sounds quite soft and is particularly beautiful. A German by birth, Kaufmann sings perfectly in Italian. which is really impressive. Overall this is a fantastic record and it gives me a lot of pleasure:-)

Absolutely gorgeous singing from this extremely talented tenor.The choice of songs was brilliant - you would think this man was Italian, his passion for vocalising thesevery Italian songs is wonderful. I have his "Nessun Dorma" CD and am amazed by his ability to change fromreaching the back of the opera house to his intimate rendition of very personal feelings.Well done Jonas (and very handsome to boot, he has it all!)

After the hype and having compared my Kaufmann purchases to several of his contemporaries over recent decades, this listener must realistically conclude that Jonas is nothing special.

Wonderful voice thoroughly enjoyed
