very attractive
This was purchased so a photo collage could be presented to people, with an attractive frame. This product is great for that. I print my photo collages 8"x10", on 8 1/2"x11" photo paper. The plexicover is 8 1/2"x11", so it matches the paper size, leaving a border of white paper around the collage. The tacks for holding the plexi cover to the wood frame are attractive. The reason for not giving this product a 5-star rating is because the plexi cover has thin plastic backing material on both sides. One side of the backing material is easy to remove; the other side is difficult to remove. I highly recommend this Award-A-Plaque for creating a very attractive presentation to people.

For my Diploma
I recently graduated from College and needed a plaque for my diploma. These are decent quality for the price. They have been hung on my wall and probably will not be moved. They are perfect for low risk areas and away from kids. One of my diploma's was the proper size, while one of them was a bit smaller. For my smaller diploma (that wont reach the pin holes) I had to tape it to the loose plastic. The plastic does not hold tight enough to secure it in place, but if your document is the right size, then you wont have an issue. I would recommend this product.

Just be careful and you'll get a quality end product
OK, keep in mind these are very cheap plaques/document holders and you get what you pay for (yes, they're made in China). I bought a bunch of these because I had many awards to dish out and could not afford the nicer $135-150 plaques. Pros: cheap, easy to assemble, decorative tacks, can buy in bulk, overall the product works. Cons: fiberboard (do not get these wet, ever -- high humidity areas could see bubbling on surface over time) covered in faux wood grain plastic, scratches/mars easily, holes not completely squared with perimeter (but not noticeable from distance), cheap (but thick) "transparency" film cover, not hard plastic that fits on top of certificate.Advice: just be careful during this whole process and you'll end up with a quality product. Remove plastic wrap from the back, peel off tape covering the four tacks. Turn over and carefully grab one corner without the masking tape and pull off the plastic cover and other materials. Grab one taped corner and pull off the film on the plastic cover. Use ruler to line up certificate square with outer edge, place plastic cover on top, then carefully insert one tack in corner and very, very carefully hammer down. Flatten plastic cover firmly before inserting next tack. Insert next tack, hammer, etc. Repeat. That should do it!

Great quality for low price
I work for an event planning company and at the end of the seminar each attendee receives a certification. We have handed out over 60 of these and I stand by this product. Great quality and easy to assemble!

Better options out there
Year over year I have been buying similar award plaques for my bowling league. In the past I went to the stores to get so I could check the quality, but with the way things have been this past year I decided to buy online. This product does not hold up to the quality of the ones I got from Staples for the same price. The front plastic on this award plaque is flimsy, cheap plastic compared to the hard plastic on the ones I used to get. I should have read the reviews more to notice this.Others have complained about puncturing the document, but that has been my experience with these plaques that have the plastic shield on the front because the plastic is just as large as the paper. I do agree with all of the complaints about the tacks bending very easily. I had to pull a couple of them out to straighten them. Like others I pre-made my holes in the plastic, but when I went to put the paper with it on the plaque the bending tacks caused ripples in the plastic and award paper. I had to pull the tacks out, realign and try again.Another issue I had is with the wood grain look/feel. Mine was not attached very well and as I held the plaque in my hand/fingers I rubbed against the edge of the wood grain and it started to pull away on the edges.I do o

Nice presentation piece
These made inkjet printed parchment certificates look like expensive Trophy Shop awards! What was great was we found them on a super sale but were limited to only 10. We'd have loved to be able to give these out for all our Chess tournament school team winners every time we hold an event. Really worth it if you need to elevate a certificate.

Serving Our Veterans
I really valued this product and continuously purchased additional plaques. BUT you changed the size to larger and the quality for the covering on the plaque peels off when I take off the tape. I really valued you products for Veterans Award because it gave them pride. I do not like your new product for it is a lower quality.
