This starter works perfectly with my 1998 Chevy Metro! Didn’t fit exactly the same with the original shim, but still works fine. Great starter for Metros and easy to install.

I wanted to rate this starter higher because it did look well built and it functioned as designed an intended. The price also can't be beat when compared to local automotive parts store. But fitment was where I was unhappy and the reason for knocking 2 stars off. This went on a 02 Susuki Aerio which has alignment dowels for the 2 bolts. The 2 holes where the dowels were supposed to mate up were too small and wouldn't allow the starter to go on. I had to drill out the holes slightly to allow the dowl to go in but still have a tight fit. The vehicle had to leave the next day so I couldn't just return it for a replacement. That is the risk you run when ordering parts online instead of getting them locally. My hope is that quality is good long term because by modifing it I voided any warranty it may have had.
