Correct size is important.
I found the boot very well made and was fairly easy to put on my shepherds foot, the extra length helped him to keep it on. It has worn away rather quicker than I expected probably due to the fact that not only does he drag his foot really badly but his has a sideways drag as well. I’m glad I got the size that I did as I fell rye next size down would have been a struggle to put on.

Unfortunately not fit for our dog
This item was purchased as a replacement for a set of dog shoes that had met their use-by date after 8 months. Our particular dog has a degenerative myelopathy (DM) like condition which causes him to have poor coordination (ataxia) and a lack of conscious awareness in respect to where his hind feet are placed (paresis). In addition, he also has a prominent instep in his left rear foot (evident from the holes in each shoe in the attached images - boots were swapped to prevent discomfort after holes emerged) which has been present since birth. This results in him dragging his back feet slightly, leading to open wounds and blisters when walking atop hard surfaces like pavement or gravel. The shoes fulfilled their purpose in the short term, however, after a few days of regular use (twice daily) it was clear that the material above the suede sole of the shoe was beginning to erode. Despite fitting the shoes in accordance to the provided instruction sheets and subsequently tightening them, it appears that there was still (very) slightly too much slack. This is a problem that we have experienced before with shoes and seems implicit with the atypical gait that our dog follows due to his in-step. We have tried different sizing options in the past, and selected a size that is snug, whilst still not being too tight. We contacted the seller to affirm the best size for our dog, stating the breed admixture as well as noting the unique characteristics (in-step) of our dog's gait. Following this, the seller responded quickly and recommended the best sizing given our dog's breed composition.I am sure that this product is a splendid option for anyone who intends to use the shoes as a protective guard against substrate extremities like snow, bogs, ice or whose dog may struggle to walk/run but has a less severe gait. It is unfortunate that these boots weren't feasible for ours. Therefore, I do warn that if anyone is intending to purchase these shoes for regular use for a disabled dog, that the boot may not be suitable for the daily-wear and tear involved with an irregular gait pattern (e.g. instep).Within the short time period of using these shoes, I can't comment on the water resistance due to a lack of rain and puddles. However, they are easily wiped when soiled with mud and the suede material of the sole does seem to last.We have had the shoes since the 16th of June (2020), and the time of writing is the 23rd of June (2020). As such, a single pair of this particular brand of shoes was not sufficient as a durable, relatively long-lasting option for our dog.Overall, there are other dog shoes on Amazon that appear to be better designed to accommodate our dog's circumstances. Moreover, our previous pair of shoes fetched a lower price and featured a set of four shoes in a single pack. In the case of the current product, the value for money unfortunately was not met.(DETAILS)Breed: Staffordshire bull terrier mix border collie x german shepherdAge: 12-14 yearsMedical: Degenerative Myelopathy (DM) + in-stepSize of Shoes: 4.75 cm

Hardwearing and comfortable boots. Helpful supplier.
Our dog Jake has DM and these boots are great for protecting his paws because he drags his feet. He now has wheels to stabilise his back legs on walks and the boots mean he can still use his legs to keep his muscles going as well as being supported. We are on our 3rd pair of boots now - they are hardwearing and never come off, but they do get rough treatment! We will continue to buy these boots for as long as our boy needs them and the company who supply have been really helpful from the start. We even get a discount as repeat customers. We would recommend these boots for any other dogs with the same issues.

Seller happy to refund
Not suitable for a Bulldog, as they are much too long, but the seller was very happy to refund.
