Gary Cooper Biography
Very interesting and well written.

Really bad
The author doesn't tell you much about the man Gary Cooper. Just about his many escapades with women. There was a lot more to Gary Cooper than being a male slut. Told about the movies he made, but no real detail. Poorly written. Don't buy it.

Nothing more than speculation and rumor
This book, which is seemly obsessed with Gary Cooper's love live, is based on little more than speculation. Especially when it comes to affairs with women during his marriage. It is true that Gary Cooper became involved with Clara Bow, Lupe Valez, and others previous to his marriage (Although I am not sure that I believe the charge that one of those he had dalliances with was Carole Lombard in 1931, given that 1931 was the year of Lombard's marriage to William Powell). However, I struggle to believe that Cooper had as many affairs during his marriage as is claimed by this author. The long affair with Patricia Neal is well documented and believable, but many of the others, I simply don't believe and are not even remotely 'well documented', but pretty much based on rumor and speculation.Meh. Would have been much more interesting to have spent the time and space on his career and the wonderful films he left behind.

what a man.
The title is a presumptuous but the book is most interesting. Personally, while I would recommend this book, the last hero is the wrong title. Gregory Peck was the last hero
