Mrs. Noah's Patchwork Quilt

The book was very carefully wrapped and in great condition. As stated all the templates were there. It arrived in a timely manner. As for the book, it’s a great telling of Noah’s ark from Mrs Noah’s point of view. Lots of humor and kindness. I wish I had a little kid to read it to.

I love primitive folk art quilting and this is one of the best authors of such books that I know of. Bolton is a British quilter and teacher and this is one of her several wonderful books that teach you how to do folk art quilting.

A charming "children's" book about Mrs. Noah making a quilt to pass the time during her 40 days on Mr. Noah's arc . Muslin-printed applique designs are included in a packet at the back of the book. Janet Bolton is a well known quilt designer whose works are commissioned by museums and prestigious art organizations in England. Her style is completely unique, quite small applique studies in a naive , folksy way. She uses mostly linens and wools and homespun fabrics to tell her stories. Her books are difficult to find in the U.S. but readily available on Amazon and through Quiltmania. I'm sure this will be a collectable. Be sure, if you buy it, that the pattern pieces are included.

The book is exactly as described. Glad I found it at a great price!

A real oldie, but goodie. Sorry I didn't have this teaching tool when my grand babies were small. Some of Boltons books were never well known in this country.

All pages glued together, missing items, etc. Impossible to use.I think that's enough... All in all, a bad purchase.

A great introduction for a child learning to sew and adult teaching child. Lovely idea of combining story and sewing.

I may not do justice making this quilt, but it makes you want to give it a go even if you don't sew its a lovely book to have.
