knightking / amazon = 5 starsCamera = 4 starts When it works its a great cam even in low light and the new batch seems to be working.UpDate:4 I got a bad cam "from the 1st stock of cams" that they no longer sell and the same but "new stock" ones seem too have more professional workmanship.UpDate:3 Stopped working again, IE got logged in again but resetting to defaults does not fix it. I re-flashed the firmware (not an update) and it started working again. Returning it after email with NightKingUpDate:2 Got logged in with IE and did a firmware update and all is working again. No clue why it stopped working but all browsers and Onvif-DVR are working great again.UpDate:1 Worked great for about 3 days then just stopped working. It is still pulling pwr over the poe and you can still login (asks for L/P) but it no longer has any video. Will update if I get it working again or get a replacement.The video is great even in Very Low light. Love the POE (no batt or AC wiring) one wire 24/7 setup. Unlike a lot of cams this one does NOT need internet for cloud storage and can live stream with ANY local/remote DVR or software that supports Onvif and MOST do. I used the http interface to set it up for my BlueIris server with remote access.I did NOT check the APP or P2P connection out.The hole for the cam is easy to see if you know what to look for.

If you need a camera in an IP camera in a smoke detector, a good one is hard to find. This one is the lesser of the evils we've used lately. First, in the Q&A it talks about audio can be added. The camera does have audio built in, so don't worry about that, but it's not great. Motion detection if you're attaching it to your NVR is bad. You can have two dogs wrestling and all of a sudden they're gone in the middle of the recording. It misses way too much. If the camera is mission critical for recording events, pass on this one. Lastly, the night vision is all but useless. The room where I'm using this one has IR coming from 5 other cams and it still doesn't see in the dark. All that said, if you need a smoke detector application and don't want to build it yourself, it's the lesser of the evils we've found for IP with audio.If it doesn't have to be a smoke detector application, there are a lot of very good 5MP IP cams with audio hidden in fake motion detectors here on Amazon that work very well. We probably have 30-40 of them deployed at various client locations and they're a much better quality and value.

I have 7 of these running on my Hikvision NVR; setup was a pain, once I downloaded the Night King software from the included QR code, ran the setup manager, set the cameras with manual IP's and disabled the camera's DHCP feature, I was able to add multiple cameras to my NVR. Only issue I'm having now is the Hikvision POE doesn't recognize the cameras, so I had to put the Night King cameras on a POE switch, then connect the switch to the Hikvision NVR. Fwiw, I have two Hikvision POE dome cameras on the NVR, so the NVR POE works, it just doesn't see these Night King cameras or provide power to them. Picture quality is what you would expect from a non-IR pinhole camera, they're adequate, and discreet, exactly what I was looking for.

I wish there was a better way to access the camera so I won't be so visible.

Was pleasantly surprised with these... Needed 2 of these for a bad situation a family was going through. Work very will, no issues as of yet. These look better and outperform the more expensive Sperry West covert cams. The cam itself is a Hik Vision. It popped right up on my NVR with no programming.

I installed this camera in December. I was called to check it out because they couldn't see it today and it was not showing up on the monitor. I did a scan and found a camera on a wrong IP so i changed it back to where it was supposed to be programmed and I could see it on the screen again. 2 min later it was gone again. I found it on a different IP again and re-set it for the second time and verified it was working. I made sure motion was working and after 30 min of verifying i left. So looking back, this camera quit the same day it was installed and 6 mo later the customer needed some video and it had failed. Must have been the first time they needed video of that area. I told them to check on their system more often.

This product’s works great with my existing NVR

Powering the device with PoE seems to work, but I was not able to access the device.The webclient provided requires a very outdated version of any browser, which leaves known vulnerabilities on your machine that can be exploited. Updated versions of browsers have since fixed the vulnerabilities, why hasn't the software been updated to support these??I would recommend steering clear of the device if you have any concerns about your network's security!!
