Good paw protectors
These shoes keep my dog's paws protected from the cold and salt on chilly winter days. It stays on quite nice and doesn't fall off at all if you happen to buy the right size and tighten them very well. It took some getting used to but as soon as I took my puggle outside, he forgot he had them on and was able to run and play in them pretty well. The two drawbacks about these shoes is that it is not waterproof and playing in snow or puddles of water will get the shoes wet. Also after less than a week of wear outside, one of the shoe's rubber traction sole that is sewn onto the bottom of the shoe ripped by the seam about a CM. I had to sew it back onto the neoprene upper again. Works fine again. I'm on week 4 of using these shoes everyday and so far no more rips. I look at the functionality and purpose of the shoe and conclude that it is an good investment, however the quality of the shoes could be a bit better if it were made waterproof and if the rubber sole was thicker in the smaller sizes. If the soles could be better attached to the neoprene upper too should be a consideration for the company that makes these paw protectors.

Really makes a difference for my dog
I have a dog that I adopted before the winter season and she is a small mixed-breed. I have to walk her as I live in an apartment complex. The first snow storm came and I had to take her out. Within just a few minutes her feet were hurting from the snow and the cold. I ordered this boots thinking they might help her. I was right. She tolerates me putting them on her easily enough...especially since there are treats involved. I don't know that I needed to go up a size as most people had suggested, but they work. She now has traction and protection from the snow, ice, and ice melt and really enjoys our winter walks now. i imagine these would also be good for dogs that go hiking with their humans. The velcro straps are pretty long so I will be cutting them to make them shorter. The foot goes in easy and the straps stay on really well. She does walk a lil funny at first trying to get the feel of them, but once we are outside, she realizes that they help with traction and is off and running!

though the bottoms of the boots were fine. On the positive side
Not suitable for foot drag. I have a 40 pound dog with neurological problems and he drags his rear paws to some degree. Taking daily walks on paved streets, his nails on his rear paws were worn to the quick and I needed to purchase boots to protect his nails. After my dog's first 45 minute walk with the Woof Hoofs, one of the boots was missing 50% of the rubber coating on the toe area, though the bottoms of the boots were fine. On the positive side, the boots fit perfectly (after measuring his paws and using the sizing chart), they stayed on well, the boots are not too bulky, and he didn't seem to mind wearing them. The Woof Hoofs simply are not sturdy enough for my dog's needs, though they may be suitable for other dog's needs. If your dog has foot drag, I suggest that you order a sturdier boot designed for foot drag. I'm going to try Neo Paws Summer Reinforced Energy Orthopaedic Summer Shoes next, as their photo and description seems to indicate that they will hold up to foot drag.

Holds up to Chicago's Snow and Salted Roads
The media could not be loaded. I'm not one to dress up my dog in clothes. Sometimes I want to walk around with a pair of scissors and cut off the tutus and fashion boots on the poor dogs I see and yell, "Run Forrest! Run!" But Chicago is brutal in the winter and there's always mounds of salt on the sidewalks and roads. Good news for me so that I don't crack my head open but bad news for my dog's paws. I couldn't stand seeing her limp around during our walks anymore, so I decided to splurge a little and get her these boots. They're very easy to put on and my dog tolerates a lot from me so she didn't struggle or try to rip them off. They made her walk around like a horse which I thought was pretty amusing. We had some pretty deep snow a while ago but the boots didn't fall off. There are two straps which helped me make sure that I had them on tight enough. I found that it was easiest to keep the straps bound when I first slipped them on (makes it so that the two straps don't tangle and stick together), then I unbound the bottom velcro strap and tightened, then unbound and tightened the top strap.I know she felt funny walking in them, but no more limps during our walks and she seems much more willing to walk longer distances. Plus, I liked the fact that I could just take off the boots and hang them up instead of taking the time to wipe off her paws after our walks. They aren't waterproof, so if I stayed out for a long time the insides would be damp. But I'm going to try the ScotchGard as suggested to see if that helps. One thing is, if your dog falls in between sizes, I would go for the larger size. I ordered a M but they were a bit too small. It was very easy to exchange the boots and customer service always responded promptly to my e-mails. You have to pay to ship them back (cost me $2.07) but they ship them to you for no extra charge, which I appreciated.Update: I posted a video to show how I put the boots on because the straps kept tangling on me and was frustrating till I figured out this quick easy way to do it. Also, it might seem like I'm pulling on the boots really hard but I made sure not to hurt her paw in any way - plus she would have let me know if it hurt. Just wanted to show you guys that it stays on pretty tight. Also, as most of you know/experienced, Chicago had 2 feet of snow and I definitely walked through the blizzard with her wearing the boots. They didn't come off even once and kept her feet pretty dry.

Not worth the money
I purchased these for my 90 lb boxer mix dog. The fit is awkward. One strap cuts into his feet when he walks. If I cinch them up tight enough so that they do not come off or shift around on his feet then they are uncomfortable for him to wear. Needless to say that when I have put them on him, he only has them on for a short time. The boots wore out quickly, within a few months the stitching on the bottom started to tear as well as thin spots (and eventually holes) developing toward the top where his toes are. Sparky is an inside dog, we live in Ks so he enjoys being outside when the weather is decent. I put boots on him to keep his feet clean and dry and protect him from the heat and cold. He wears his boots when he goes out and when we go for short (half mile) walks. I certainly wouldn't say that his wear on the boots has been excessive. Considering the cost I would have expected these to last much longer. Even if the boots weren't falling apart already I would still be replacing them because of the fit.
