Kikkerland Set of 3 Mechanical Wooden Pencils

These pencils write nicely and are easier to hold with my arthritic hands

Love the look and feel of the pencil. Last reviewer criticized not being able to find lead and eraser refills. I don't know about three eraser but I usually use a separate eraser anyway. The leads are easily replaced. Size 0.5mm, I used my favorite Uni lead. Take off eraser. Push on plastic bit, catch old lead coming out of tip. Keep pushing on back plastic part as you insert the new leaf in the tip. I plan on getting more to have ones for my different preference in lead hardness. B 2B 4B

I was very happy with this pencil when I first got it because it is very comfortable to hold and I enjoy pencils that use a thinner than standard pencil lead for very precise lines. Unfortunately, once you wear down the eraser there is nothing to keep the back of the pencil closed so your lead can fly out at any time. Had I known that the company didn't sell eraser refills I would have been more careful and not have used the eraser up because now I can't use this pencil until I find a way to plug up the back of it...

Beware buying from Kikkerland. Bought a set of three Kikkerland mechanical pencils at Half Price Books. Erasers on all three pencils wore down very quickly. Emailed their customer service department about replacement erasers, but have yet to hear back from them. Also, nowhere on the pencils does it state what size leads these pencis use. I tried .03, and .05 size leads, but these sizes do not fit. So, beware purchasing anything from this vendor. These pencils seem to be (one-time-use) throw away pencils only. Amazon, take note.
