A childhood favorite. Highly recommend!
I’ve grown up from a young child eating this corn beef hash. It was something we ate almost every weekend. absolutely love it with some nice sunny side up eggs as I love breaking the yokes into the hash. When I saw that it was sold in larger cans, I was absolutely thrilled. I purchased several cans and one can will last me about three servings. I will open the can and then just divide the can into three equal amounts or as close to equal as possible. Or, after removing one serving, I’ll just place the rest of it into an air tight container and just take what I want when I want. The only downside is that the product does contain a lot of fat. If you take the can’s label off, you can place the unopened can into a pan of water and make sure the can has about an inch or so of water above the can. Bring to a boil and reduce to low and allow the hash to get hot. This will allow a good amount of the fat to rise to the top where once removed you are super super careful when opening the can. You can then drain the fat off the top and this way we aren’t clogging our arteries with all of the fat but we can still enjoy the great taste of the hash. I myself do not have a cholesterol issue, so I am not overly concerned about the fat as I only consume so much per serving. I myself highly recommend this product. I’m sure it can be used in many different ways so if you enjoy getting creative, knock yourself out. I also tried it with melted cheese over it and then placing my sunny side up eggs over the melted cheese. Yummy!

This is the one you want.
OK this is how CBH should be. don't buy the armour brand, it was watery and salty. This hormel brand is very good. It didn't shrink in the microwave like the other brand. it was sufficiently moist without being watery. This is what you want to buy. I will buy more of this. This one can was at least 4 servings for me.

This Is Our Favorite Canned Hash..Great Sub For Homemade
I don't serve hash that often because it does have a lot of fat but we do like it a lot so we indulge about once a month. I've tried several brands and this is by far our favorite. The potatoes are a nice size cubed cut and the ratio of potato to meat is well balanced.I empty the can into a non stick skillet with no added oil and fry it until it's crispy on the bottom. I turn it over and fry the bottom and then break it up and repeat the process so the whole can of hash gets really nice and moderately crispy but NOT BURNED. There's a difference between crispy and burned to a crisp...lol. When it's done cooking I turn the hash out on several layers of paper towel to absorb the excess grease. That doesn't ruin the flavor because the flavor is in the hash, not in the fat. It definitely cuts back on the calories without detracting from the flavor. On the rare occasions I make corned beef I make hash from the leftovers but it's not something I do very often so this is a really good substitute for homemade.
