Covers gouges and scratches very well!
I built a home office desk from a butcher block board and stained it in Minwax ebony color. I also have a pet rat who hangs out with me while I work and he thinks it’s a lot of fun to gnaw on the edges of the desk. (I always stop him immediately before he can actually swallow any of the stained wood) Anyway, due to the fact that he is quicker than greased lightning, he can carve out a nice sized chunk before I even notice, which of course leaves various nicks along the desktop. I tried using the same color of stain to mask the bare wood gouges but the stain didn’t seem to absorb into the wood as well as it did on the surface, so I ordered this marker and it works like a charm. One or two passes with the marker and it goes right into the wood. I usually let it set overnight for maximum absorption, but usually after an hour or so, you can buff over it lightly with a cloth and the spot is not noticeable. Of course, the gouge is still there (but that’s ok, it will be like my rat carving their name for memory) but the gouge is disguised and hard to notice unless you knew specifically where to look. I attached photos of after the marker was applied, both in bright light and my normal office / gaming lighting. The color I used is ebony, but really, I think this would be fine for any darker colored wood. Great product and very handy to have around. Highly recommend.

works great to touch up black cabinetry in RV
We bought a used 2019 Grand Design Imagine 2800bh and many of the black cabinets had scratches or dings and wear spots. I went through the whole camper with this marker and a shop towel, rubbed it on, then rubbed it off with the towel. Looks amazing!!!! Is it perfect? No. If you're close you can see it. But it's a lot less obvious to have the spots filled in versus light wood scratches/rubs on dark wood cabinets!

Good product, bad shipping
This furniture repair marker is a great product. I've been using Minwax products for years, always with good results. Unfortunately, this vendor sent the marker in an envelope rather than a box, and it was partly crushed somewhere in transit. I suspect it went through some kind of mail sorting machine. The result was a damaged and leaking marker. I am still able to use it, because not much of the stain leaked out. But now that the metal cylinder is damaged, I'm pretty sure it will dry out quickly.

I've been using these things for years and they really work. It's just like using a magic marker and it's easy and the color blends

Love the stain, not impressed with the touch-up pen
This company makes a solid wood stain, but I'm less than impressed with their touch-up pen. I ordered the Red Mahogany pen, and I might as well use a black Sharpie. Its not red in the slightest, it's black and when you go to 'wipe off the excess' you wipe off the touched up spot as well. Rather useless in my book and I feel as if the money was wasted. I had plenty of black Sharpies available.

Great for touchup of engineered wood floors
Ordered 3 different markers in various stain colors to touch up scratches on our engineered wood floors. Our floors have varying shades of cherry stain so alternated between the different stain markers. Had read through most of the reviews posted here, which was helpful. They work like magic, v easy to use, & happy with the results. Highly recommend & will keep these handy for more touch up work.

Best scratch repair product I’ve used.
I have used other products for repairing scratches but this one blends to the colour of the wood seamlessly. Used this on our cupboards they are a darker cherry colour. I would buy this product again.

Great stuff
I love this stain marker, it has made my IKEA brown/black furniture come up like new. At first the touched up areas was really visible but then the stain seeps into the wood until you barely notice where it had been applied in the first place. I have even brought two used pieces of IKEA epedit furniture (now discontinued) that were so heavily scarred, I thought I might actually need to buy the tin of stain in this product range. But honestly I wound up just using this pen and the finish has come up brilliant in both units. Excellent product.

Does the job.
Does what it says on the label. As long as you have a cloth ready in case it goes wrong, it does the job of patching up wood furniture just fine.
