I have been making a recipe using dried beef for years but it is often very hard to find in the grocery stores. I am so glad that Amazon carries it. Dried beef has a taste like nothing else and it works perfectly in so many recipes. I layer it down in a casserole dish and top with bacon wrapped chicken tenders. Then mix cream of mushroom soup and sour cream and spread on the top. Bake until done. Delish!

We, for some reason, cannot find this product anywhere near where we live. It must not be a thing in California, but it sure is in the Midwest. Every year we hunt down a new jar or two to make our annual Christmas season cheeseball. So grateful for being able to get this key ingredient from Amazon.

I grew up in the Midwest and ate things like chipped beef and gravy over toast (also called Sh** On A Shingle). If you've never had it, make it. This dried beef is PERFECT for a fast meal. I included a photo of SOS, too, made with this beef. It might look gross, but it is sooo good. My husband, who is from India, really loved it, too. As someone else mentioned, this product is not meant to be eaten straight from the jar; it's made for specific recipes like the one I just mentioned.

I'm 80 years old and have been eating scrambled eggs and dried beef for as long as I can remember!It could be a breakfast or dinner meal now based on my schedule.One of my all time favorites...served with a piece of toast- yummy !
