Great value and easy to use professional grade set
I am pleasantly surprised at how well made this equipment is. It is light and very sturdy. I did a lot of research and decide on this Notch brand and wanted both a saw and a pruner. This set was the exact thing I was looking for.I have used it around our property 4 times already. And even though a bit expensive it has saved $1,000s in tree service costs, and is so much better made than the cheap clippers I was using before. One really nice thing I found was how easy it was to use one pole to handle the lower branches and then add the second pole to reach higher up.I love having both attachments, and you really will use them both. The saw is surprisingly effective at cutting. The pruner is very sharp, and works really well (and fast) with smaller cuts. I slightly regret not having a third pole, but I think anything that high in the tree I will have the professionals in to work on anyway. The other thing I might have configured differently would be to have the saw with a tooth on the end to keep the saw from sliding out if you pull too far. I find that happens at least a bit, and it is a bit tricky to place the saw back in the cut to continue. But all said, the value in this set is worth the few compromises.Great deal because it's a set, and it ships free with Prime. Ours arrived in just two days. And in response to a few other reviews, ours came with all the screws and the rope (we did have to attach it). And it was extremely easy to unpack and assemble. Good cutting!

Balanced and easy to handle
I'm not exactly young. Not exactly in the best shape. So when these arrived, I wasn't totally thrilled with the weight and sturdiness of the poles and trimmer. Yeah, that should be a positive but for someone of a certain age that bench presses chip bags for a living, well--not so much.Briefly considered hiring someone else to use my nice, heavy pole set but decided to at least *try* and found that this set is also well balanced. Several hours of cutting and pruning later and I'm totally sold. The saw cuts through wayward limbs like butter. The pruning attachment is sharp but harder to handle for the muscle-impaired. Still, if I could get the leverage, it was coming down.By attaching the pruner to one pole and the saw to the other, I could work around my oak tree and reach most anything. I'd start by using the pruner farther out on the limb where the branch was thinner, then saw neatly back on the stub as needed.5 stars--Recommended for those over 60'ish with more time than money.

Overall very satisfied
This is based on one day of use. So far, this has been a very good purchase. I used it to saw down multiple branches. The blade did a good job. What was most impressive, was that the blade didn’t deform when twisted by falling branches. The wing nut/locking washer which attaches the blade stayed secure. The pruning mechanism works smoothly. I wish that they would provide a cleaner way to secure the rope to the eyebolt on the pole. As it is, they leave it to you to tie knots.Pole connector mechanisms seem sturdy and easy to work.Overall pleased.

Professional equipment
I really like the pruner on this kit and the saw blade cuts quickly and cleanly even if it isn't a Silky blade. The locking mechanism can be a little bit of a pain at times but it holds the poles together well. I wouldn't call this pole light but it does the job and I like that it is sturdy. If you want a lighter faster cutting saw you may have to get the silky brand or the notch telescoping saw with a silky blade.

Best tree pruner I have ever used.
Built real well, doesn't fall apart when you need it the most, It wanted me to rate it as lightweight. It's not and I would not expect it to be. This is the best built, sturdy reliable pole saw I've used. I wish I would have tried it a long time ago. If you think you can save some money and get a cheaper one from elsewhere go ahead. They will not last, and some won't make it through the first use. This notch set is worth every penny and has paid for itself on the first job.

Professional Quality
Will last decades. Pruner head works very well and is easy to use. Saw blade cuts faster than any hand saw I've used before. I trimmed branches off of a maple and walnut - both hardwoods. Pruner cut fine through branches up to an inch and saw cut quickly through branches up to 5".

I'll get it when?
I had to change the rating to a 1. I bought screws and realized the product never came with the head for the saw. Basicly I have a useless poll.I haven't used the product yet - because it did not come with the rope.I haven't used the product yet because there are new screws to attach the saw bladeI took weeks longer to receive it than it was supposed to take.I gave 3 stars because the pole itself looks sturdy and if I had received all the parts to actually use it I suspect I would have been happy with the toolUpdate: The replacement shipped had enough pieces in it to come up with what I thought was a complete unit. Little did I realize I had 2 saw heads and no pruner head that should have come with it. I have used the saw head and I have to saw the saw is quite good and made really easy work of cutting - even branches that were 18' up and 3-4" across. It's an impressive blade. Now - how does one acquire the pruner head????
