Great on hard snow and powder!
I put these on my slow stick and I can't say enough about how fun they are! I've got a large park behind my house that I've had a great time messing around on, doing touch and goes and just sort of driving around. I've botched quite a few landings, with the skis no worse for the wear. They've very light and easy to install. They actually work surprisingly well in powder as well. I've used them in up to abut 4 inches of fresh snow and they seem so provide plenty of float. I would recommend buying some .078" piano wire and just bending a new set of gear for these, as they need more axle than the stock SS gear has, and it's nice to be able to quickly swap out between wheels and skis.

Too large for a Sport Cub S2
This appear to be well made and look great, but they’re too large for the Sportcub S2 I thought they’d fit. (the “park flyer” reference).Skis are 2.25” x 7”; (S2 wingspan is just 24”…)Keeping them for a larger plane down the road.Four stars mostly for the vague description…

great skis
as they are basicly the only ones on the market, good thing they work. 3/8" axles are included, but I used the other dubro 3/8" axles they sell standalone. Ground out a flat spot as recommended. The instructions seemed a bit... weak... like they showed it backwards, or something, I dont know. but I got it figured out.took it up on a maiden, I was on soft snow, not packed or iced over. 3kg flight weight, first takeoff and it fell through. 2nd attempt worked fine. I was a bit hesitant on the first attempt, kinda feathered the throttle, 2nd time I went for it so it would get up to speed faster. And I was off.Unfortunately, that landing ended in a tree, so no landing report yet.

Good skis. Fiddly setup
Didn't fit the spindles on a carbon cub 1.3m. Had to use shrink tubing to make it all fit. Outer locking collars retain the springs and are difficult to get on and get to set.

Great fun!
I put these on my Sport Cub and they work great. Had to use bushings as landing gear wire is very thin. Would be nice if they didn't drill the holes so you could drill for your landing gear. They are great fun to fly off the snow. Work best in heavy or packed snow. Very light snow needs to be packed for a couple of feet to give the aircraft a little bit of a run before hitting really soft stuff. Landing no problem any condition just stops faster in soft snow.

A little pricey for 25 cents worth of plastic, but they work great
These things are very thin plastic, that is a good thing because they are very light. The 830s are about 7" long and just over 2" wide. I broke one ski on my 1st landing (it snapped clean just in front of the bottom ribs). It was easy to fix with some fiberglass packing tape and I taped the other one to make it stronger. I suggest taping them before even trying to fly, this adds a little weight but makes them much stronger.

Good product
They work great! Only wish we would have had more snow this year. It's only snowed twice since I installed the skis. Maybe next year.
