Arno 467887 Solid Steel French Timber Framing Slick Chisel 25 mm (1 Inch) Wide x 12 Inches Long RC 58-60 PVC Dipped Handles

The listing says there is a tip cover. I asked two questions about this through Amazon as I wanted more details, but never heard anything back. Decided to take the plunge anyway ( mistake). The tip cover is just a brittle piece of plastic. I’m surprised I haven’t cut myself on it yet. The chisel itself is okay for the price, but I would not have bought this if I’d seen the tip cover first. Would have rated a 3 or 4 if seller actuallyMonitored questions and answered them.

I was excited when I ordered this chisel because I needed a bent handle chisel. This is a completely straight chisel. NO HANDLE BEND. Its not a slick. Its also very low quality. I attempted to flatten the back of this chisel only to find deep cuts into the back and cutting edge making it very difficult to flatten for sharpening. I spent 4+ hours with a xx coarse diamond stone today and still haven't been able to flatten the cutting edge. Very dissapointed.
