Oh my goodness…. Aleatha and her CLIFFHANGERS!!!! They always send me reeling and leave me wanting more!!! I need the next book like yesterday. I think I have found my new favorite author for mystery and intrigue novels. I haven’t read many of Aleatha’s books but I have read all of her lighter side books. Of the books I have read by Aleatha, that aren’t her lighter side, have been AMAZING!!! Her stories suck me in and leaving me wanting more!! I normally hate books with cliffhangers but Aleatha knows how to write so well that I don’t mind waiting for the next book. It builds up the anticipation :) Secrets is the first book in her newest Web of Sin Series. This is a book I am NOT talking about the storyline at all. You need to go into this book blind and just enjoy the story as it unfolds. I will say this, this book left me with so many questions!! My mind is all over the place. I can also say if you aren’t a fan of Cliffhangers than you will want to wait to read this series until all the books are released. Aleatha has a master mind!!! The stories she is able to create and deliver always leave me speechless. Her stories completely suck me in and if life didn’t get in the way, I could’ve devoured this book in a single day. I was so engrossed I didn’t want to do anything else but read. I loved the characters she introduced us to in this story. The heroine is strong, sassy and desperate to know the truth. Aleatha gave us so much emotion through the heroine that I felt like I was in her world. Now I know that the Hero is supposed to be unlovable and not really liked by many, but I LOVED him. I don’t know what it was, but he totally captured my heart. Yes he had his moments that I was just pissed at him and wanted to smack him, but then he melted my heart. You’ll see once you read this story. I thought this was an excellent start to this new series. I can’t wait to see where Lies and Promises take us and how this story will eventually play out!!

And that’s exactly why I couldn’t wait to delve between the pages of her latest sinfully sexy tale, “Secrets.” As the first installment to this author’s Web of Sin series, “Secrets” introduces us to the dangerously enigmatic Sterling Sparrow and his unwitting, prospective bride, Araneae McCrie. Written in the same vein as her Consequences and Fidelity series’ and boasting an intriguing premise with likeable, compelling characters, “Secrets” sets the stage for a brand new series that promises to be yet another suspenseful, intricately woven saga. It’s a thrilling roller coaster ride, for sure, with plenty of twists and turns along the way. “Secrets” drew me in right from the very start and held me captive right up until the very end. Because, on top of the driving intrigue, the chemistry between Sterling and Araneae is simply off the charts! And while the cliffhanger ending didn’t take me by surprise, it only added to the many questions still begging to be answered. With Aleatha Romig's winning track record when it comes to the darker side of romance, I have little doubt that the next installment in this series will garner a 5-star rating for sure!!

Will she survive or be his downfall Let me introduce you to Sterling Sparrow. He is tall , controlling and oh so sexy . He is the heir to a mass fortune but there is a dark side to him . He has been through so much from an over bearing father to time in the army . He is now the head of Sparrow enterprises and in complete control. Ladies trust me he will make your heart speed up . But you know with this author , there is always more to her characters then meets the eye . That is also true for Sterling and you will love and hate him at the same time . Areneae aka Kennedy is well she isn't naïve but she is a little not really worldly. She has been through so much in her life . Being yanked away from her family and given a new identity . At the beginning you just want to wrap her up in a warm blanket and keep her safe . But you see her start to grow and get sassy with Sterling . Just like all her characters she is stronger then she then she lets on . I truly like theses characters . They are great one on one but together they will be unstoppable This is the first book in a brand new series for this author . She really can write dark romance . I was hooked by the end of chapter one . Besides a smoldering sexy couple . There is mystery and intrigue as we piece together their history . I couldn't put it down , I had tears in my eyes a few times and had to fan myself a lot of the time . I must say I love Aleatha's dark side , she puts the alpha in men . I truly enjoyed this first book in the new series . Yes it did end in a cliff hanger but that's ok I know she won't keep us waiting too long . So if you want a sexy new series that will keep you hanging on every word .

6 STARS Actually, it should be 10 stars. Aleatha is the QUEEN of dark romance, and I am in love with her newest set of characters. This Web of Sin is a tale only she is capable of telling, and you will get caught up in it, just as I have. Kennedy Hawkins isn't her real name. But she doesn't actually know what her full real name is. The only thing she knows is that at the age of sixteen, she was sent to Colorado and told never to return to Chicago, the only place she ever called home. Sterling Sparrow is the head Sparrow Enterprises. He's calculating, brilliant, and a total alpha. He's right up there with her super hot Nox Demetri and Tony Rawlings (my personal fave!!) I love book one, because it sucks you in. YES, there is a cliffhanger. This is a trilogy, so you need to expect that. If you're one of those people who hate them, then wait until the series is out. But what you need to know about Secrets is just that. It's full of them. Aleatha has such a way of creating these worlds that we want to be a part of. She is a magician behind a keyboard, able to keep you entertained, turned on, and curious about whats going to happen next. I can't WAIT until book 2 - Lies - comes out.

My thoughts on this book are all over the place. Overall, I really enjoyed this book, and I cannot wait for the next two books. I just felt a little... unfulfilled with this book, being it's book one. I have come to expect a lot more of a some things in the start of a series with this author. I am hoping that the next two books are jam packed with twists and turns that will leave my jaw hanging. I am not sure where to go with this review. I did not like Araneae's character at all. She is weak. I am not a fan of weak characters. I am holding out final judgement on her until I read the rest of this series. I am curious to see where my thoughts go from this book to the third book when it comes to her. This author has a knack for changing your mind from one book to the next. The development in this book was way too fast for me. I know things may not be what they seem, but I feel like I know too much already. I was given too much too fast. And things with these characters moved way too fast. Their building attraction was too fast and cliche' for me. I will admit, I found myself rolling my eyes. Some of Sterling's character were a bit much so fast. His actions made his character unbelievable for me. I am left with many questions I know I will eventually get answers to. I did see that ending coming. I may not have known how, but I knew part way through the book that it would end with the exact meeting. Maybe I have read too many of this author's books (impossible), maybe I read too many books in this genre (again impossible), no matter the case, it didn't shock me. Even though this book wasn't what I had hoped it would be, I did devour it. It is good. It has me anticipating the next two books. If this happens to be your first rodeo with this author, you are in for a real treat, that is for sure!

Aleatha delivers another page-turning novel that will keep you on the edge of your seats. If you love our anti-heroes in Tony and Nox, you have to meet Sterling. While he is that unbending, formidable, alpha male, there is also something about him that makes you want to please him. His unending possession of Araneae McCrie is hard to handle at first, but his alpha dominance soothes some of the initial shock away. I love all the twists and turns and can't wait for more to come! But, what will be true and what will be uncovered as a lie??? Now, our female counterpart to Sterling, Araneae McCrie, is a beautifully broken young woman that is desperately trying to hold her personal life together while her professional life seems to be flourishing. She's always held secrets from her past, but she thought she had moved on and found a new path for her life. But did she really? The push and pull between these two characters are enticing and sucks you in from the beginning. I had to keep reading because I HAD to know what happened next. In true Aleatha form, she leaves us by dropping a bomb and now I'm desperate for the next installment in the Web os Sin series. Masterfully created and definitely a 5-star read!

In the vain of her prior dark romance series’, Aleatha has once again spun a story of romance and mystery. As always the reader is on an intense chase to determine who to love, who to trust, who to despise, and wonder who will be trapped in the web of deceit. In this world of shadows we meet our leading characters Sterling and Kennedy, each with their own Secrets. Unfortunately,for dear Kennedy, her secrets are from an old, but open book from which she has not read, but Sterling is well versed. In order to shed some light on her secrets she’ll have to embrace the dangerous unknown and an attraction greater than any she’s ever known. She’ll also have to figure out, is light bringing truth from the shadows, or is light birthing the shadows? Secrets is book 1 of the trilogy. Luckily readers won’t have to wait too long for the next book as it releases Dec 4th, and book 3 releases in January. Overall: Solid 4 stars. Nice start to the series. Hotness: Steamy and setup to be hot as the story continues. Pros: Intriguing setup for next book, quick read, Likable romantic leads Cons: Character reactions don’t always seem to fit with understood character personality. This may be intentional as setup for other parts of the story, but in a couple of places is does ring out as odd. It’s a trilogy.

What a well-written book with complex characters and relationships. This story is filled with mysteries that are revealed as the book progresses. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Really loved the story, I try to just read stand alone books as I have 967 waiting to be read on my kindle I tend to download loads so try to avoid trilogy's but I have already downloaded the other 2 in this series I do like Aleathas writing it flows and she writes strong characters, would recommend

Sterling est un héros diaboliquement dominateur et sexy, tandis qu'Araneae est emportée dans un tourbillon où les révélations sur son passé lui sont apportées au compte-gouttes... I’ve read the entire series and loved every word. I loved how the different couples meshed with their own stories to tell. Sterling Sparrow, is head of a Chicago crime syndicate as well as a legit businessman, with assistance of his friends Patrick, Mason & Reid. They do anything they can to protect and keep safe their loved ones and each other. They’re a well oiled machine who take retributive justice against those who harm their women. I would highly recommend this series. I’ve been Aleatha’d a long time ago and love her writing
