Update: I've been using these for vivariums for years now. I've built six vivs and used these for all my ventilation. They have held up great in every single one, and they look nice. One of my enclosures requires a misting system, and for the inside of the vent I covered it in silicone, but even the outside is not showing any sign of rust or damage from the humidity.I used these for vents in my vivarium. They look really nice, and they were very easy to install. I pulled the tabs out a little more on each side and used some glue underneath it to make sure it stood up on the irregular surface I am using. I did notice that they can be dented slightly if they collide with other metal objects (like a screwdriver) but it didn't puncture and it's barely noticeable.

I use these vents on my beehives. I drill a hole in a super and place it at the very top of my Langstroth hives to create chimney effect. And I also use that same vented super to cover any top feeders.These vents are easy to paint (see photo), easy to attach, and seem to do the job. I used a 2 & 1/8 (54mm) hole saw. And the size was perfect. I do use some Titebond II to reinforce the seal.My plan is to put a vented super on top of each hive in my apiary. These vents will be my go-to.

I needed vent holes for a custom cabinet build to remove an estimated ~50W of waste heat from power supplies providing ~500W.They worked exactly as expected and installed easily into holes made with a 55mm hole saw. I was able to bend the tabs outward to secure them against the cabinet wall.These vents were bulk-packed in a large bag so they have signs of scuffing. I didn't try polishing the scuffs out, so I don't know if it will be a cosmetic issue. Other than that, they are perfectly fine.

Ordered these to put in my PVC snake and gecko enclosure, perfect size for what I need but I’m giving 3 stars because the since ring is SHARP! I recommend sanding the inside if you’re planning on using these around reptiles anywhere anyone may get cut if they accidentally touch the ring. It was sharp enough to draw blood on my husband.

If you have to cut vent holes & order these vents wait until you can measure the inside diameter of the vents. My vents would not fit in a 2" hole. I had to make a 2-1/8" hole then push the three tabs out. they fit tightly when inserted in holes in 3/8" plywood. They are "handsome" looking but easily bendable. Use in rain water collection system to keep debris out of gutter.

Although I wish they had a finer screen behind the holes they are really well made. Due to my PARANOIA, I cut screed and put it inside each one to avoid smaller insects from passing into my vented attic. These are WELL MADE!!!

Great product. I used it as vents on my Bearded Dragon terrarium. I doubled them on 3/4 inch plywood. Looks nice and works as it should.
