Sterilite 12158006 Ultra Laundry Basket, White with Titanium Handles

For a long time, I had a flimsy laundry basket, and when it started to split & fall apart, I looked for a replacement. I chose this unit, and it far exceeded my expectations. It is solid, larger than my original basket, and easy to pick up & carry. I am quite pleased by this unit.

What can I say? It's a laundry basket. I was a bit nervous buying a laundry basket online, so I stuck with what I knew. I had a very similar basket to this one before (it was the slightly curved version) and it had always been a great laundry basket so I thought I would give this one a shot. It is a bit more expensive than other laundry baskets, but there is a reason for that. It is made of hard plastic, not the cheap flimsy plastic most cheaper ones are made of. Also, this is a perfect size for people that do a lot of laundry, or don't do laundry as frequently. About two full loads of laundry fit into the basket. Most laundry baskets are smaller, and I knew I didn't want a smaller one. The only SLIGHTEST complaint would be that, yes, the handles do pop off if you are careless with the basket. My mother had this same basket and one of hers came off. However, let's be real here - is it that big of a deal? You can still hold the basket perfectly fine. It doesn't affect its usage whatsoever. It's really just a cosmetic issue. But that is a stretch. Mine have not ever came off, so I really wouldn't worry about it. Unless you're throwing it out of a 3 story window or pushing it down some stairs...... it's gonna hold up. This is one of those cases where it is definitely worth spending a little extra for something nice.

The WORST, most poorly constructed, cheapest piece of garbage I have ever been sold.1. Within seconds of first use, BOTH handles broke off (plastic broke).2. Material is flimsy and folds and collapses with minimum items inside.3. Inside the box, there was a price tag that read $6, not the $18 paid.I only wish I had taken the time to read reviews before ordering this, a whole bunch of single stars for the very same reason.

Solid build, my baby likes to ride around in it like it’s a little car too. Fits into my closet perfectly, and it’s comfortable even with heavy max loads to carry.

THIS LAUNDRY BASKET IS STRONG AND CAN CARRY HEAVY ITEMS! I USE IT TO CARRY GROCERIES FROM MY SUV UPSTAIRS TO MY RESIDENCE. GREAT PRODUCT AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT!

With a household of 7, there is never a shortage of dirty laundry. This basket can take a heavy load, and the handles seem sturdy enough. I've gone through a few laundry baskets in the past and usually the handles are the first thing to go. This basket seemed a bit pricey (loss of a star), but if it holds up, then I guess the extra cost was worth it. I've had it for over a month now and the kids haven't broken it yet, so score one for Sterilite.

I like the size and the sturdiness of the basket. Also the handles are very comfortable, as well as placed on all 4 sides for easy lifting.
