It's Okay
After looking at many similar designs by other brands that claimed to be for the iPad Air 2 (but were actually the exact same mold that they put out for the iPad Air 1), I bought this one specifically because the pictures on the item suggested that it was actually molded specifically for the Air 2. Well, it definitely is molded specifically for the Air 2. It's an alright product. I have always found it annoying and frustrating that Apple has always put the speakers on the sides of iOS devices instead of mounting on the front. That's one thing that really intrigued me about this case, in fact, because it has a passive speaker horn design built in. I was expecting the sound horns to be a little better, however, and since the speakers holes on the Air 2 are positioned close to the lightning port plug instead of the edges, and also since the sound horns direct the audio from that center area out toward the far edges of the case, the audio tends to sound like everything's coming through a plastic drink straw (it's a strange effect that's hard to describe any other way than that). It's not really great sounding as a result, and I really wish they had designed the horns nearer to the lightning port and the speakers so that it wouldn't have that strange drink straw effect.I personally like squishy/gooey cases for my mobile devices (iPhone, etc.), and this one is definitely that, so it feels very good in the hand. However, I know from years of using similar soft silicone squishy cases for my iPhone that the silicone tends to get softer and softer the more you use your product, eventually leading to a replacement of the iPhone case. While occasional replacement hasn't been an issue for me with my silicone iPhone cases since I buy multi-packs of cases that amount to about a dollar per case, I could see it getting quite expensive to have to replace this kind of case every year or so if it does end up getting softer and looser with time. I guess I shall see how well and how long this case holds up and keeps a snug fit on my iPad.Also, since the kickstand is so narrow, it's almost pointless. The kickstand provides hardly any support while in use, and it lets the iPad flop over backwards very easily on soft surfaces like a couch or bed, which is of course very annoying. I bought this case when if first came out, and it was a little more expensive than what it's currently selling for at the time of this writing. I probably wouldn't say that the price I paid was a very good value if I had been able to test out the unit in real life before buying, but at the new cheaper price, I guess it's a somewhat fair deal.In summary, I feel like the designers of this case were SO close to getting it just right and making a perfect iPad case. I wish I was there as an advisor when they were at the drawing board with creating this case. I'm a design snob and really have't seen any iPad case designs by other brands that knock my socks off. Maybe someday someone will get it right.

Three Stars
It's not as firm as I thought it would be. The sides are squishy. It's fine.
