I had some cheaper ones made by Luxrite and they worked fine. The company did refund full price with no ...
Most of these did not work. Picture shows exact same bulb I was replacing. In actuality, what arrived was not exact same bulb. Came with silver base, thin curved silver piece inside instead of straight white as pictured, and made in China (or maybe India..don't remember exactly and don't have one to check anymore) not USA as the one I was replacing. Interestingly, I had called an electrician (with a bucket truck) to replace these bulbs high up on the building. He had just received a new case of these same bulbs from Philips. Looked just like the ones I got on Amazon and they did not work either. Luckily, I had some cheaper ones made by Sunlite and they worked just fine. The company did refund full price with no further questions.

Short Lives....
3 of them only lasted about 2 weeks before they blew.... I had relatively new ballasts/capacitor kits in them at the time AND I used nylon gloves to install them to keep oil off them so I KNOW it was the bulbs that were defective.

was not correct bulb
The bulb did not give me the illumination that was needed. Had to return bulbs and get another kind. The issue for the balist that needs 175w is still not resolved. Will have to talk with someone in person (storefront) to resolve.

It's a bulb. It illuminates.
This is the kind of thing that makes Amazon so great. My wife mentions to me that one of her office building lights is out. I get a ladder and investigate. Where in the hell do I find one of these?, I wonder. Amazon, of course. Two days later my wife tells me how wonderful I am.

customer service review
I actually ordered the wrong part so I had to return and order the correct bulbs. Their customer support was great, they correctly identified the bulb I needed and set me up with a new order and emailed a RMA number to return the incorrect bulbs. They were extremely polite & helpful and quick on responses.
