When Dreams Come True: A Love Story Only God Could Write

Eric and Leslie do it again. Somehow they can use their love story over and over again and it brings home totally different points. After reading this book I fell more in love with Jesus than ever before. I actually have realized the importance of it. When you are so involved with Him, you feel the need for no one else, but also, if a future spouse is waiting for you, you want him to be like Jesus, so naturally its only logical to conclude that he is looking for the same. This book is just phenomenal, it also includes song lyrics that Eric and Leslie have written at the ends of chapters from their CD "Heavenly Perspective." The CD is a must have!! It's their best one! Their songs are like personal prayers put to music. There is nothing proud about them; they give God every ounce of credit for everything in their lives. This book, like all their others, is not a guide to successful dating or anything of the sort, just their beautiful story.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE (ok, I absolutely devoured it) precisely because it is not a preachy book. More importantly, though, WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE made me want to emulate Eric Ludy.Eric and Leslie longed to be together. Until their wedding day, however, they were focused on being used by God in whatever way He wanted to use each of them. Eric was focused on missions and on a teaching job. Leslie was focused on being an encouragement to the women around her.While WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE is not a how-to book, it does show readers that it is possible for two sweethearts to be focused more on their respective relationships with Jesus Christ than on each other. To those readers who are asking how we can be focused more on Jesus than on the person in whom we are romantically interested, I recommend the prequel to WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE (which is titled When God Writes Your Love Story). Just in case you are wondering, the prequel to WHEN DREAMS COME TRUE isn't a how-to book, either.When you wait on God, dreams really do come true.

Great book

This was definitely the most beautiful romance stories of all times...& to top it off it was real, non-fiction!!! Reading the first section broke my heart seeing all the pressure teens of today face. But then the transformation...however, the best part was seeing how God truly did illustrate everything. I was constantly in a state of awe at the ways God spoke.This definitely made me look forward to the future God has for me including the amazing guy who I am willing to wait for. Since I am currently going through a process of relearning how to trust God as a result of a broken relationship, this book filled me with just the hope that I needed! It also strengthened my desire to save my first kiss for my wedding day...imagine the joy & true love that will represent! God is amazing & love is worth waiting for especially when you allow those dreams to be fulfilled by God's written plan!Everyone, especially those with a dream for true love should read this book! :)

I read this book on a recommendation from a girl in our youth group at church. I cannot express how greatly this impacted my life! I know understand that letting God lead in a relationship is worth it; we must also pursue Christ as the center of our lives, then the relationship we are in. Dating, as a Christian, isn't easy...but this is the blueprint to the spirit you should have. Take the spirit and purity and apply it to your pursuit of a Godly woman, and it will be amazing!

I read this book before after a close friend lent it to me and decided I wanted both a paperback and kindle version. In my opinion it is truly a timeless christian classic on romance and is simply beautiful in its purity.

This was a very powerful yet surreal story of how God guidance can work for marriage. I read this and couldn't put it down and challenge me to continue for God.

I would highly recommend this book to anyone looking to do perfect romance God's way. And these people aren't perfect - much of the book is devoted to how they overcame their failings to reach God's best. This book also contains practical examples of how Christian relationships should work, which I've been able to successfully implement in my own life. 5/5!

I laughed and I cried. It was a tear-jerker. It was an amazing book about love, trust (in ourselves, in others and in God), and second chances, I would recommend this book to anyone (young or old) who think they have messed up so badly that there's no hope for them for redemption.
