I have very long, heavy, thick hair. It can be a challenge to find hair accessories that can hold it in place because of the weight. These have worked better than any other combs that I have tried. They are made out of some fairly thick acrylic so they are very strong. The added ridges on the teeth really grip the hair and give me an all day hold.

OK, good value but alas, cheap quality is all one can find nowadays. My former zigzag tooth combs lasted years; these maybe 6 months, the reason I need to buy so many.

The top of the teeth is rounded but the bottom that goes next to your scalp is flat, almost concave. That makes them sharp. Along with the stiff plastic, that means the teeth scrape across your scalp when you place the comb. Ouch. It feels like I might have track marks across my head. Three stars because they are clear and do hold well.

I was born with baby fine hair, masses of it, a family trait from both sides. I'm an 80 year old now and it has thinned quite a bit though I still have more than many of my friends do , being so fine, it won't hold the combs anymore. The French twist combs from my younger years no longer will hold the hair because they are too heavy and the teeth are farther apart than I need these days. I've tried a couple of different side combs and updo combs, but with the same result. Finally found these and decided to give it one more shot. These are great! They are not only light weight but with the extra "wiggly" teeth in between, they stay put. I recommend them to anyone with baby fine hair, they do the job beautifully, my hair stays up all day without having to keep retwisting it to hold the combs.

These are excellent hair combs. I have shoulder length hair which I often use the combs to put my hair up off my neck. They hold very well.

I think these are for longer and fuller hair. I have medium length hair and they were just to big and bulky to stay in Place. They didn’t hold. I should have returned them but instead just looking for some that may work for me

Clear combs are the perfect color for my gray dhair. The diameter of each strand of my hair super fine but it is also thin....as in sparse. These don't slide into my hair as easily as regular hair combs do and they don't stay in place as well as regular hair combs do. The "teeth" are also very fragile and break easily. They may work for you if your hair is fine but if you hair is also thin I think you'll be disappointed.
