Great little iron that stows away nicely in RV
Arrived fast and works great. Very easy to use and adjust for the exact doneness you want. Light when ready to add batter and light when cooked. Has a nice overflow rim to keep things neat. No stick and easy clean up.

Love the New design!
Love the New Classic waffle Maker, clean/wipe up easier with a wet paper towel! Stand upright to store in limited spaces. I can make all types of homemade waffles (made from scratch recipes) with fresh or frozen fruit filling. Beats eating frozen Eggo waffles that taste like cardboard! Or I can either wrap chicken or veggies in the waffle by rolling up and eating like a burrito. Hubby used the left over waffle as a sandwich, he commented that it added a lot of flavor to the cheese and slices of deli meats.

makes waffles
and in the morning...I'm making waffles! Works well. The slider temperature switch could be better. Overall this is much better than the bigger waffle irons. Never had an issue with it, and the waffles turn out really good.

It works well; an excellent buy at its price point, but the cleaning is quirky (at least for me).
It works. It's simple. No gadgets, fancy controls or readouts. Just a light to say "not ready" and a green light that says "ready or finished". The plates are definitely non-stick and clean up easily, but I wish there was a way to wash the plates without getting the unit wet. The instructions clearly say no immersion, so I am careful rinsing it to keep the base dry. But the manufacturer mentions wiping it to clean it; I don't think that's sufficient, at least for me, so I wash it with a sponge, and rinse it with a hand-held faucet spray, being careful to keep water only on the plates. The unit is a 5 star as far as doing its job, but I am wishing it had a better way to clean, like removable grill plates or something.

It makes good waffles
I was going to buy that stylish iron that Alton Brown made famous, but Amazon does not carry them at this time. Thought about looking elsewhere, despite having a $25 Amazon gift card, but that model makes Belgium style waffles, while the Cuisinart makes the thinner conventional style. Hmmm, actually I don't actually like the fluffy soft style in cookies or waffles. Went with the Cuisinart. Only cost me $5 (!) as I have Prime shipping. I am happy with the results. The thermostat actually works and you get consistent crispiness. Doesn't take too long. Doesn't stick (see below). Easy as possible to clean. The waffles are great. They are now a Sunday tradition and will fuel guests during the holidays. I would rather make waffles than deal with the cook to order holiday breakfast requests. The quality of your efforts will depend on the actual recipie, rather than the machine, and that is good. I wanted to make that Alton Brown-based mix, but ended up using Bob's Red Mill brand as it has both white and whole wheat flour, baking soda and powder and dried buttermilk. You add oil and eggs and water or liquid buttermilk, which is what I do. This is a good recipie and silmilar to Brown's and several reviewers'. I tried butter instead of oil, but that was not so successful. Now I use canola oil and save the butter for the topping. Overflow is always an issue with waffle irons as the mix expands when heated. I pour in about 1/4 cup and spread it out with a spatula so that it just fills in the channels, up to the top of the peaks and no more. I tried the 1/2 cup suggestion, but had to clead up a lot of overflow and I do not like the idea of any liquid in the thermostat area for obvious reasons. It is easier to add a little mix than to remove an excess. The easy way to finish them off is to fill a measuring cup with butter and maple syrup in a ratio and quality of your choice and melt it together. Sticking is an issure for many with this and all irons. I give a quick spray of Pam to start and spread it around with a paint brush. Don't try to spray the whole thing as everything near and far will be covered with oil. Doing this once seems to work all morning. Staying above 3 on the thermostat and not using butter in the mix is helpful as well. This made all of my waffles pop out easily. Cleaning is done with a towel and because nothing sticks, that isn't so hard. Storing it on end is great, although I haven't figured out how to plug it into itself to stow the cord. I think the cord is an inch too short for that feature to work. I can recommend the Cuisinart based on its performance so far. Only time will tell if it will last. All product forums are filled with complaints about things that break and that always makes me paranoid when I read those reviews.

Convenient and easy to use waffle maker
Bought as a Christmas present and since it is used daily, I would say it is well loved and works great. Not sure how healthy it is to eat waffles every day, but who am I to judge.. it is easy to use and you just pour in a little over a half cup or homemade batter (at least she does) and you have fresh waffles in around a minute a piece. You need to pay attention since it does cook so quickly. Easy to tell when it’s done since it goes from green when you first put it in, to red, and back to green when it’s done. You can even choose the level of “doneness” like a toaster does, in the front. It is very compact since it’s about the size of a waffle, so easy storage. Mostly easy to clean unless you spill some in the front. Not as easy to get into those parts to clean, but if you don’t overfill and spill out the side, you’re good. Err on the side of caution for your first one and pour right in the middle.

Works well, but durability concern after light use
After about one month of very careful use - no harsh cleaning, no drops, and normal handling - I noticed a small chipped area exposing part of the surface. This is disappointing, and it makes me hesitant to continue using it. That said, if I ignore this issue, the waffle maker itself performs very well. It heats evenly, the browning settings work nicely, and the waffles come out perfectly cooked with no sticking. Overall, it works great in terms of performance, but I’m not fully satisfied with the durability given how gently it was used.
