NASB, The Charles F. Stanley Life Principles Bible: Holy Bible, New American Standard Bible Kindle Edition

If you are a Christian and love Jesus, and want to get into the meat of His Word, this Bible is for you. It is also wonderful for new believers. Sound teaching from Charles Stanley, and the format easily distinguishes Scripture verses from Dr. Stanley's notes. For those of you who may not have had a study Bible before, the notes/comments do not have any numbers, so you know it is not Scripture verses. When you see a superscript number, that is a Bible verse, and you can continue reading the Word. Try to make a habit of reading the Scripture verses, and don't rely on notes alone. Just a good practice for any of us studying the Word of God.We are told, by the Word, to test all things and hold fast that which is good. See I Thessalonians 5:21,22. [There are various paraphrase/translations/transliterations of this verse. The New American Standard is a transliteration.] This is an excellent Bible to do that.I have often heard Dr. Stanley urge us to always check out what he says. Also, check out what others say. Test, by the Scripture.That is how we know the truth from false teachings. You always can trust the measuring rod of the God's Holy Word. :-) Comforting, isn't it!I am really enjoying the Kindle version, because of the background lighting and abiltiy to adjust print size. The maps and charts are much smaller, but I also have hard cover Bibles, too. NIV is very good translation, and nice to compare, for even more understanding.For non-believers, I challenge you to check it out! Open God's Word and start reading! HE wants you to know about Him and also what He wants from us. HE loves you! Jesus died for all of us!Enjoy your Bible study and your growth in the Lord!

For many years I've struggled when it came to reading the bible. The past couple years have been difficult for me so I've really been searching for spiritual sustenance.The older version of the bible is so difficult to understand and even the easy to read ones have often left me pondering the true meaning of what I just read and how it applied to my life. I'm a big fan of Charles Stanley and I absolutely LOVE this bible and would recommend it to anyone!!! It is easy to read and understand, it's engaging, and the life lessons throughout the book are very enlightening, teaching me how to apply the word of God to my own life. I purchased it a couple weeks ago and while I'm not finished with it yet, I've managed to read some of it every single day, which is more than I can say for a lot of other bibles I've tried to read. A must have for anyone looking to understand the bible and apply God's word to their life! Great for your spiritual quest. Buy it, buy it buy it!!! I truly love it. Amen for this book!

This Bible is the NASB, updated edition, which is the an excellent literal translation and the one I most prefer. If I could only have one translation this is the one I'd choose. Charles Stanley has laid out this Bible to include his 30 Life Principles to help readers see principles of Bible passages and also how we can apply the Bible teachings to our own lives. In addition, he has put into place different readings that He has written that help the reader understand specific passages of the Bible. All in all, it is a type of study Bible. Although it is not my favorite study Bible, it was well worth the read and I am very glad that I read it. I recommend it to others, who might want to read a different study Bible than ones they have already read.

This Bible contains life changing explanations of such complex issues. The organization of commentary, and God’s promises has helped me make better decisions. Dr. Stanley is the most talented minister, and I am grateful for the insight he shares.I like having this version of the Bible to give as a gift because it is presented in a way that speaks to people of all churches, and ages. My son said that this version has made him better able to understand the Bible too!

Dr. Charles Stanley has pastored First Baptist Church of Atlanta for 44 years and has taken the teachings of the Holy Bible and added to them practical life principles for Christian living. The Bible is the New American Standard Version which leaves out the thee and thou from the King James Version. Dr. Stanley takes specific verses from each of the 66 books of the Bible and explains them in terms that are applicable to our everyday lives. Example: Psalm 56:3 says :When I am afraid, I will put my trust in You." Dr. Stanley explains the 3rd verse of Psalm," The psalmist does not say,"if I am afraid," he says "when I am afraid." Fear is a natural reaction to danger. God does not tell us to ignore our anxieties, but to bring them to Him and realize that God can help us overcome by relying on God and keeping our faith strong in Him." This section is under Life Principle 12 titled, "Peace with God is the fruit of oneness with God". There are 30 Life Principles in the Bible. Under each Life Principle, Dr. Stanley gives what the Bible says about it, answers to life's question, Life Examples and Life Lesson with each giving Biblical references. There is also a Promises Index that are highlighted and marked with an asterisk in the Bible text. Dr. Stanley references the many promises that God will keep. I have the hardbound version, also.

Perfect! Excellent! I had damage to my nkjv so I had to get new one...of course, Dr Stanley's bible go into great detail on chosen verses, going in to explanation. He also has all bible promises listed for easy locating! He has life principal section, as well as his teaching on a principal throughout bible. I was used to New King James Version, (his BLUE life principal bible), however, this one is the NASB, which I learned is actually what he uses with his teaching, and he gives a great history of this version in front of bible.Oh, please remember that the only difference between this one, (the Red one), and his blue one is the version of bible. Either one is still perfect for bible study and has same extremely profound teaching within.

Better than expected. High quality paper and print. Easy to read modern day English version Bible along with Dr Stanley 's life principles makes it easier to understand than the older translations.

I have always appreciated Dr. Charles Stanley teachings. His sermons and teachings have helped me understand basic principles such as to know God truly, to cultivate a lasting relationship with Him, to gain wisdom and knowledge, is achieved only by spending time with God through his Word. He also highlights the importance of discipline, consistency, diligence and boldness in the walk with Christ. The word of God is the most powerful thing in this universe. Dr. Charles reminds us alot in His sermons what we tend to forget everyday....WHO GOD IS. He is Sovereign! The Creator! This humbles you and grounds you.I purchased this bible because i really yearn to know more about God, and with the illustrations and notes made by Dr. Charles i can be able to read some of the books in the bible that i have shy-ed away from.I encourage every one who wants to know more about God to get this. Dr. Charles is an annointed man of God and God has blessed him with such a high level of understanding about the word of God. I am very very happy with my purchase.P.S Please note that when you order this bible, it will be a bit of a wait before you receive it. I have had the same experience with Joel Osteens books that i purchased on amazon as well. i ordered on the 18th May and received it on 28th May.But i think its well worth the wait!!!
