I’ve used the masterson system for acrylic paints for years now. With the sponge, the special paper, and the Masterson box in both a small and large size, I hardly waste any paint. I paint almost everyday and get about 3 weeks out of palette page. The sponge lasts longer if I let it dry out between usage but I just use it until it starts to fall apart which is a fairly long time. This system makes the acrylics handle more like oils and is perfect for my needs. My main concern ia to not waste oaint as it’s so expensive these days and these sponges and paper work great. I recycle the exhausted palette paper into small modern works of art with recycled frames. Sometimes I use pretty parts of them in collage. All Masterson products are great.

They arrived on time as advertised, but are a bit narrow.. all in all they still work great.

I've been using the Sta-Wet pallet for a few years. I haven't had the problem with mold some reviews state. It keeps your paint moist for a few days. Then I wash the sponge with hot water and dish detergent and let it air dry. Be sure to order the correct size for your Sta-Wet pallet.

I've had my large Masterson Palette for a decade at least and love it. I don't know what I was doing without it. There is a wonderful relief when you know your paints are not being wasted, drying out and being tossed in the trash. Rather this palette system ensures that your investments are being held in a good consistency for proper painting. I've painted in oil for so long, but wanted to have more options; acrylic is wonderful but so challenging. This system is a game changer. I've used my original sponges for so long and this is the first time I've had to buy new replacements. I love these sponges. They are strong, long lived and functional. I tried another sponge, similar material but it wasn't the same. This is what you need. 5 stars.

I place this wet sponge in the mixing areas of my watercolour palette when I am not using it. It prevents my watercolour paint in the wells from forming a crust on top. It works beautifully.
