Fantastic dimmer control for z-wave automated lighting
I live in an older apartment building with no neutrals running to any gang boxes which means installing a traditional z-wave dimmer is not an option so it's a plug-in module to the rescue!I've purchased three and so far they work as described. The units sync perfectly to my DomotiGa z-wave controller (hosted on a Raspberry Pi B+) via the Aeon Labs Z-Stick: simply press the button on the Z-Stick then press and hold the button on the Leviton dimmer for about one second and within moments the z-stick will flash confirming the inclusion/sync. Pretty simple!Dimming with 9.5 watt (60 watt incandescent equivalent) LED bulbs is smooth without flicker however the lower 40 watt equivalents seem to drop out at around 10% or so with a slick flicker ... most likely not enough load or simply a cheap LED bulb (it'll be replaced today). The size of the unit is not too bad at roughly 1" deep X 2.5" wide X 3" high and suits my situation just fine. There is no additional pass-through plug but at this size I wouldn't expect it. At this time the only improvement I would suggest to Leviton is to offer an manual on/off/dim function on the plug. The button remains lit but is for inclusion/deletion purposes only: there's no manual on/off/dim button ... but this is just fine for my situation as the automation schedule for my lighting works like a charm.Overall, this is a fine unit. If you are seeking to add z-wave control to lamps and do not have neutral lines then this plug-in module will do the trick and at a decent price point.----UPDATE: 9-May, 2015. I've now been running this unit approximately 6 months and have had absolutely zero issues with the product. Due to the no-issues operation of this little guy I've since added 6 more for a total of seven of these little bad-boys in my home. I've also switched from DomotiGA to DomoticZ (still running on the RPI B+) to enable greater control via Lua scripting.I have these dimmers working with LED, incandescent, dimmable CFL and even a halogen floor lamp all without issue. The flickering previously mentioned was in fact due to the smaller load bulb. Using at least a 60W equivalent LED bulb increases the load enough to eliminate any flickering. Just make sure any bulb installed is "dimmable" with preference to "fully dimmable" as some dimmables drop in & off at ~10%. I'm using Cree LEDs and they work fantastic.Looking at reviews of this and other products I highly suggest: 1) research and decide on the z-wave controller you will be using and understand the limitations of each. 2) Only use "dimmable" / "fully dimmable" bulbs otherwise the bulbs will buzz and flicker, simply will not work or at worst go all pffzzzap bzzz piiffft! And make sure they're a decent quality bulb and not a generic or similar. Decent bulbs will last upwards of 10-20 years. Quality matters. 3) If using LED bulbs use only 60W equivalents or higher as the lower styles seem to be too far under load to operate properly with his unit.If I could add another 1/2 star I would but a full 5 stars is not going to happen due to the lack of a manual on/off type button on the unit but other than that small point I have no complaints whatsoever about this module and with Amazon Prime it is certainly a zero-risk way to test drive.

Solid Product at a Good Price. Works great with SmartThings!
I purchased 5 of these, mostly for use with 60w and 100w equivalent Cree LED bulbs, and one is attached to an illuminated world globe with an incandescent bulb of unknown wattage. Dimming performance is excellent on all of them. The unit is small enough so as to not block the adjoining outlet, even with larger items such as a Glade plug in air freshener. This unit is for use only on Z-wave systems, it will not function with a Vizia RF + system or on any automation hub that doesn't have the proper z-wave radio. Signal performance seems quite strong, I installed the first one at least 50 feet and several walls and a bathroom away from the nearest z-wave device I had (Leviton in wall dimmer) and it had no problem picking it up. As the product picture shows this only supports 2 prong connectors, no grounded 3 prong connectors. The inclusion process was as simple as it gets on SmartThings, while I don't think this model is shown in their known compatibility lists it instantly found each one of them as soon as I had it plugged in and tapped the button once. I didn't even read the directions until after I was done installing all of them, it's that simple. While I'm rating this 5 stars due to the strong performance, easy set up, and seemingly solid build quality, I would prefer that it had a manual on/off control, but I knew that going in so I don't feel it's right to ding a product if I purchase it knowing it doesn't have or do something and then ding it anyways. If the manufacturer hid something or made it hard to understand then I probably would.I will update this review if my experience changes. As it stands I plan on purchasing more, solid product at a good price.

I wouldn’t recommend for everyday use of lamps
I’ve had this product for about two years now. I have it controlling the light in my China Cabinet in my den. It is very simple to install and I had no problems with either ADT, Wink, Wink 2, or Alexa identifying it and installing. I also like that it has a small green to light tell the user that the device is working (it also provides a visual display during installation). My issue with the product is that it makes a very loud clicking noise when engaged (turning of/on). It is also very large so I would recommend that you use the lower outlet if you want to use both the top and bottom receptacles. This device is also not recommended for an install where dimming is required. This only allows for on and off states. That said, the device works great. Since I rarely use it, I didn’t mind the clicking noise. However, it is loud enough that I wouldn’t want to use it frequently.

Not fun for anyone at 6 in the morning
I made a makeup vanity that has ten dimmable light bulbs around a mirror. I was never able to figure out how to dim the lights. When the lights are on, it is brighter than the sun in my bedroom. Not fun for anyone at 6 in the morning. So I purchased the Leviton Dimming Plug-In and a SmartThings hub. The installation couldn’t be easier. Plug in the dimmer, press the button, pair with the hub, viola. I now have the vanity lights controlled by Amazon Alexa. In the morning, I say, “Alexa, turn the vanity lights on to 10%.” I can choose between 1% and 100%. I also use the vanity for mood lighting in the evenings and SmartThings automatically turns it off at bed time. I couldn’t be happier with my dimmer plug-in. I am buying more for every lamp in the house.

If this is for a lamp save some money and purchase a smart bulb
Works perfectly with a Wink hub. I bought it to control a lamp that has a dimmable Phillips LED bulb in it. What did not occur to me until some time later is that it would have been much less expensive and equally effective to simply install a Cree or similar smart bulb for 25 bucks which is exactly what I did in another lamp. Save this for something that can't be equipped with smart / connected bulbs.

Works perfectly; needs a button to switch it on and off
Works well, integrates nicely with my system. I love that it's Z-Wave, it is much easier to integrate and program than my Wemo switch (which is wifi and requires its own app), but it doesn't have a button on the hardware itself, so you _have_ to use another switch to operate it. Would be 5 stars if it had a button on the device to switch it.
