Lynx LDB8R 8-Inch 20 tpi Rip Dovetail Saw

This is a great little backsaw. It's well made and well balanced, makes a fine cut with a narrow kerf. I've used it quite a bit making my newest canoe, and it is invaluable. Love it.

I usually use Japanese saws to cut dovetails however being unable to sharpen those I thought I would try a traditional English saw. Wow I am sold on this saw it seems to cut better the more I use it, probably because Im getting used to it but this is my new dovetail saw period. You won't be sorry if you buy this saw.

This is a good saw for cutting dovetails. I am happy I have it. It is better than the other saw I used for cutting dovetails.

Wish the spine of the saw was a little heavier, otherwise it’s a decent dovetail saw

Really good out of the box. The only thing I dread is trying to sharpen and set the 20 tpi teeth when it comes time.

I have purchased these for woodworking friends of mine. Every one of them said what a beautiful saw it is.

Beautiful saw, and works exactly as expected; however, it arrived with a 1/4 inch gouge in the brass cap at the top of the blade. It would be considered a blemish, and, of course has no effect on the functioning of the tool, but it is a bit disappointing that, at that price, the quality control either missed it, or just ignored it. Not a reason to return it - just disappointing...
