Brentwood Select TS-382 Double Infrared Electric Countertop Burner,1800-Watt, with Timer,Stainless Steel

It's been a while since I used something this analog. I have several induction stoves in my places with digital interfaces. This has old-style tick-tock timers that ding when they are done. There's something to be said for the simplicity though. You know what it's doing, no menus to go through. Nothing fancy. I generally like it.As described it's not a super-powerful stove, but it gets it done.This is dead simple, and still has a timer, which helps me not to burn my food!IR works pretty well. It's not instant on or instant off like induction. It will continue heating for a minute after you turn it off. It's not a show stopper, just learn to use the tools you're working with.Myself, I might prefer a digital interface, just because it's better looking. However, I rent vacation units and have had some trouble getting people to understand the induction stove. Almost everyone has at least some trouble with my induction stove the first time around so this is a big plus for the simple interface.

This infrared double burner looks very nice and clean if compared to others selling on many stores. It has one year for warranty. Besides it is easy to control the temperatures as I expected. Especially the left site burner provides a quick heat output which I could not find satisfy on a former one with different brand and had to return. I highly recommend this Brentwood burners !!

The media could not be loaded. JJust bought it for emergency since my stove doesn’t work properly lately. Nice design but it’s smaller cooking surface than expected. But the most annoying thing is keeping the heat so low. Feeling like cooking with a slow cooker than a electric stove

One of the burners just stopped working just after about two months of usage. We then replaced it under warranty. The new one lasted about 7 months then the same issue happened. Now they are out of stock. We really like the burner but it hasn’t lasted well.

Cleanup is easy, but some stains remain like with all glass surfaces I know.Only 3 stars for unreadable knobs. There is a white dot on front of the knob, I look down on the knob and can’t see it, so I have to bend down or squat to see where it is. It blends with the aluminum too, so even when squatting you need decent light. There should be several clear dark markings on the side of the knob and one above to align to the unit. Timer: again no readable markings, a time scale would have been nice. Knob is hard to turn, but ok. To cook you need to set the timer first or there is no heat, then turn the other knob. My wife was complaining about that at first, but it saved us a few times already from leaving it on or leaving the house wondering if we shut it off. However, not being able to set the timer for a defined time is rather inconvenient.
