it works
No issues out of the box. had one needle brake on me but i was working in a tight area and didn't notice one needle pop off to the side and deflect quite a bit. Totally my use lead to that. if i needed another one i'd get it but i'll be recommending this one to friends. Noise is what you expect out of this, loud. Doing its job makes noise though.

Works Like It Should, Maybe Better
I have only been using this needle scaler a couple of weeks, primarily to knock the flux off of welds. So far it has worked great. It usually does the job in 5-10 seconds, so I have not run it for a sustained period of time. I only have a small air compressor, but it provides enough air for chipping the scale of of a weld. If this needle scaler lasts, I will change my overall rating from 4 to 5 stars. I hope it does. MRC

Nice air scaler
I've only used it a couple of times but it seems to be of very good quality workmanship and works just fine. Not overly lengthy or heavy. I think it's a good value. One thing to be aware of, and no fault of the scaler. A 1/4" air connector came with it in the box. I wasn't sure which part to unscrew to install it, so the first thing I unscrewed was the large nut on the end of the scaler. The opening was too large for the 1/4" connector. Thinking it should have fit, so I looked a little closer. On the end of the large nut, is a thin, knurled disk. THAT is what you need to unscrew to install the 1/4" connector! It is threaded to match the 1/4" air connector. I screwed the 1/4" connector into the large nut, and then the large nut back into the scaler....success! The large nut goes in without leaking, but I had to use teflon tape on the 1/4" one to get a good NPT thread seal...pretty much standard for an air fitting.
