All my old chisels are now like new!!
I moonlight as a prospector, so I am constantly going through chisels. I've spent a LOT of money replacing dull chisels until I was told to look into UltraSharp stones. So I purchased the 300 grit, got me some Lanksy Honing oil, and I've already sharpened 4 chisels in an hour. One was so dull, I used it as the practice piece and didn't expect much. Well, the US stone was easily able to sharpen it and now its like new! Not super sharp, but I probably could easily make it so with this stone should I put more effort.Clean up is simple and quick! Just make sure you get Honing oil or use some sort of lubricant when using this, it'll make it last a long time. After sharpening 4 chisels, I rinsed and wiped it off and can barely see where I was sharpening the tools. Looks like it'll last a long time, but for $18, it the cost of 1.5 chisels. This will save me a ton of money. One caveat, and its not the stone's fault, but my Estwing tools were much harder to sharpen than the chisels. I attribute that to Estwings superior alloy they use, and because of that it is taking quite some time to get my small rock pick sharp. Its working, just taking much longer than the softer steel chisels!Highly recommended!!!

These are great!
These are not real big stones. But let me tell you they’re great!! First off I’ll start with the shipping. It took about a week and I had to pay for shipping. However they were packaged very very well! Please follow the break in steps in the instruction pamphlet that came with it. I did so and I used an old beater knife I keep for breaking in new stones. That knife was so dull you couldn’t cut butter and with the 600 and 1200 grit stones it will now slice through paper no problem. That was just breaking in the stone. The edge of the knife seems very clean as well! I have a DMD stone holder and the height of these stones are just a hair short for it. I cut a couple small pieces of cardboard to place under the stones and it works. I also tried these stone on a table with a rough shop cloth underneath and they were heavy enough to stay still on that. All in all to me these are great budget stones you should give a shot!

perfect...
This stone is amazing. It's easy to transport, easy to use, and brings every blade I have to razor sharp. I can't say enough good things about it. It starts off rough (and they say that it will) and yet after a few blades your good to go. I usually take the blade to this stone (dry) a couple of passes then strop and I'm in business. I hope you enjoy this stone as much as I do.

It's All Good
If, like me, you are used to buying inexpensive diamond sharpeners, the first thing you'll notice about this one is, it's heavy. It's mounted on or applied to a solid, heavy duty iron plate, so you don't have to worry about give. After the well explained break in, I used this to sharpen carving knives and chisels, just before going to a leather strop with FlexCut honing compound. What a great combination.Yes, I'd recommend this and buy it again.

Great product for fine grit sharpening.
I have noticed a couple of tiny specs come off but this is after some serious use. This isa quality product. I made a wooden handle to insert it in for easier/safer sharpening. IT is a big hunk of precision metal. I start by sharpening on this and then end on ceramic rod and my knives are hair splitting sharp these days. I love how much real estate this gives you to sharpen on. I want 2 more! (i collect knives, andI'm addicted to keeping the kitchen deadly sharp. )GREAT for getting a perfect start to your sharpening. Its fine enough for a final sharpen as well and my shop knives end on this grit. Bu the kitchen needs a ceramic finish. Just my opinion and experience after a good amount of use and years of sharpening on many different stones, rods and other gimmicks. THIS IS NO GIMMICK.Not great for reshaping knives that have been through heavy abuse or have chunks and chips. This is too fine for that but you should know that already if you are buying it.THE PICTURES ARE WITH IT INSERTED INTO A PIECE OF WOOD AND AFTER A LOT OIF USE. (I clean after every use)

I set this on my palm just like an old whetstone but the results I get are ...
This thing is badass. I don't use a fancy wood block or robotic arm contraption to hold the stone or knife I'm sharpening. I set this on my palm just like an old whetstone but the results I get are fantastic like a whetstone could only dream of being. This Ultra Sharp diamond stone is thick enough you'll NEVER hav to worry about it bending or breaking. It's long and wide enough to sharpen even the longest of your kitchen knives, and to be honest it's prob large enough to sharpen a damn sword. I've gotta be honest, I've actually tried to get my brother to bring his favorite knife to my house just so I can sharpen it for him. Can't wait to get the rough, and ultra fine stones to go along with this one. Thanks Ultra Sharp for an amazing product.

If a normal Japanese stone is considered big this is a medium stone
Very good multi purpose stone!Works as a whetstone fixer but also can be used as a replacement fine stone its electro plated so it lasts a long time it is a thin stone but heavy it is
