Worth repeating.
I already own two earlier editions, one on Kindle and the other bought twice in paperback. But still I pre-ordered (on Kindle) the latest 2021 edition. The book is that good, and for the highly reasonable Kindle price it would have felt ungrateful not to do so. I hope the deserving authors and careful publisher make a pile of cash and give us yet other expanded editions in the future. After all, this is one of the best all-around chess books available.Toward the end of the new Kindle edition, I found an openings index. It listed "page numbers" for the games, but for this book, at least, my Kindle's "go to" function is letting me navigate by both page numbers and locations. Delightful.I also found the numerous chess diagrams to be easy to read, numbered, and even enlargeable (least those I checked).Buying this on Kindle provides an excellent and inexpensive travel companion. Years ago, I would lug a chess library through airports. Now the Kindle and a cell phone with chess app, and a small pocket chess set as a backup to save the phone's battery charge, come with me easily in a carry-on briefcase. And of the hundreds of chess books riding in the Kindle, this is among those that are likely to be most-used.The book should appeal to a wide range of players: from those who simply know the rules and can learn the notation, to those who have developed real skill. It is no mistake that this book is highly rated. This latest Kindle edition seems to carry on the tradition of fairly priced excellence.

Disclaimer: As of January 2023, this is an old edition
Cons:- As of January 2023, when I bought the book, it isn't the 2021 edition, like it says in the title, but the 2010 edition. I don't feel cheated because I suspected this when I bought it and didn't mind. With the 2021 edition you'd be getting 20 more games, and corrections on the analysis of many games.- The quality of the paper is terrible, like a newspaper.- The book is very small, like another user said, which might be bad for some. I personally didn't mind that much.Pros:- Possibly the most thorough, understandable analysis I've seen in an annotated collection (I haven't bought that many collections, though), and the selection of games seems formidable. It even has some very recent examples from modern chess, along with classics like The Game of the Century.

Great Book at a Great Price but...
...there is no index to games in the Kindle version. You have to just keep moving forward to the next game or swipe endlessly through pages. If you press Go To you have a choice of Cover, Forward, or End. In Bobby Fischer's 60 Most Memorable Games there is an index and you can pick a game you'd like to play and it will take you directly to that game. Otherwise this is almost a must buy for chess lovers at $2.99.

Best Bang For Your Chess Bucks!
This is a very special games collection. Three prominent British chess authors have combined to bring you 125 superbly played and annotated games. They went through a very thorough voting process to try to come up w/ the 125 greatest games of all time. Of course, no 2 such lists would agree on all the games, but when three very well read GM's make such an effort, the overall quality of the games chosen is sure to be extremely high. And unlike what you might expect in such an inexpensive volume, the quality and depth of the annotations is remarkable. They have researched the literature and give not just their own thoughts but those of other experts as well. Computers have been used to check analysis, and many analytical errors, passed from generation to generation, have been corrected. Depth of analysis is remarkable at times. E.g., over a page of very dense analysis is given to alternatives to Reti's 27.Nf3? after Alekhine's stunning 26...Re3! R sac in their 1925 Baden-Baden encounter (Kasparov's own choice for the best combination of all time!). There are concise player introductions given, brief overviews of each game, and even summary lessons to be drawn from each game. I would have to say that due to the spectacular games chosen, and the high quality annotations, this inexpensive book would be my 'desert island' book. Give me this book and a chess set, and I could keep busy until that rescue plane finally found me! Highly recommended.

An excellent ābibleā
Really good reference for all aspects of chessā theory, practical, stages, problems, etc. I did find there were quite a few mistakes in the algebraicsā moves that what were impossible from what had gone before. Frustrating, but bearable.

Kindle version a steal at $3.00
I don't have the patience to play thru all the variations (they can sometimes take up an entire page!), but for an intermediate player like me, it's still totally worth it to play the games on my chessboard, read the analysis (which is very clear and well written), and just skip over the variations. I think the printed version of the book at over 700 pages might be a bit cumbersome to use, and paying $3.00 versus $17.00 for the printed version is too big a bargain to pass up.p.s. the Kindle version doesn't seem to have a glossary, but you can just Google "Chess Glossary" and you'll find several excellent ones.

Best collection ever!
The games are all fascinating, the analysis worthy of study, and the three lessons of each game instructive and often entertaining. I really enjoyed this and have been recommending it to many other chess players. Moreover, I just bought a second copy since my first is so worn from use!
