As an adoptive mama from China, this book was very reminiscent of our journey. It’s beautifully written and illustrated and will be a keepsake for your family forever!

Really cute, easy to understand, book. Written especially for families with adopted children, but I think it’s also an awesome tool to teach diversity and openness to children from all types of families.

This is a simple yet beautiful story of adoption. The illustrations are excellent too. I will enjoy reading this book with my daughter for years to come.

Cute book/story, but the illustrations, in particular, specifically depict a white woman adopting an Asian child (nothing wrong with that). Yes, the story itself can be applied to families of all nationalities and skin colors, but in my experience, for the intended target audience, it's not as easy for adopted kids who look just like their adoptive families, to relate to the story since illustrations are a large part of young kid's learning.

Such a sweet story and easy read for children! Love this book! I purchased a copy for my neighbors who adopted their son 5 years ago.
