Needle in a Haystack
I have read about 30 books on this subject over the last 10 years and can say this book is among the best. This book's strength is the author's ability to plainly and clearly articulate the deep and life changing implications of the Gospel for setting men free from lust in all it's forms. Increasingly books are making this claim but Gardner actually does it!This book is theologically deeper than Tim Chester's excellent book Closing the Window, steps to living porn freeThis book is way more grace-based than Heath Lambert's rather disappointing book Finally Free: Fighting For Purity with the Power of Grace. This book is every bit as good as Michael John Cusick's excellent book Surfing For God: Discovering the divine struggle beneath sexual struggle. The difference between Cusick and Gardner in my opinion is that Cusick is more in-line with a Christian integrationist approach while leaning heavily upon Larry Crabb, John Eldredrige while Gardner is more in-line with a biblical counseling approach leaning upon John Owen, John Murray, Martin Luther, & Harry Shaumburg. The bottom line is, If you or someone you know struggles with lust, pornography, etc, then you don't want to miss this book!

EVERY PASTOR, PARENT, YOUTH WORKER, AND GUY NEEDS THIS BOOK
There are few things as pervasive and destructive as pornography. If you are technologically advanced enough to read an ebook, then you have been most likely encountered pornography. It is everywhere. This book tackles the issue of not merely managing its effects or controlling the habit, but it shows how to gain real ground over one of the most secretive and shame-inducing parts of life. But even more than that, this book explains the freedom you can experience in any area of life through God's grace. It shows us what we are robbing ourselves of and what God wants to offer us instead. Highly recommended!!

practical, resourceful, and entertaining!
This book has been a breakthrough for me. Not only it has valid and strong biblical and grace aspects, but it is also very practical. I read this with couple other friends, and we found this book to be very helpful; Not only it help us to fight pornography, but it also teach us a better and deeper understanding of God's grace. This book is highly recommended for those who feel hopeless and enslaved by the addiction to pornography and sexual drives. My suggestion: try to read it with a group of people (accountability partners)

Worth the Read for any Christian Guy
Regardless of whether or not you struggle with pornography, this is one of those rare books that actually gets to the heart of the issue, that is the sinfulness of the human heart, and actually gives some practical advice. I would definitely recommend it. While this book's focus on the struggles so many men have with pornography (as the title would suggest), the principles of grace and love can be applied to so many other areas of life. If you struggle with pornography, definitely give this book a try.

Freedom from so much more!
It doesn't matter if your idol is porn or the 1957 Chevy in your garage that you lovingly run your hand over on your way to work every morning; "Porn" is anything that consumes you and has taken the Lord's place in your life. If you want freedom from those idols, you've got to read this book! Brian has captured the essence of any idol's destructive disease, as well as the most effective cure, as well as any author I have ever read!

Best book on porn yet
As a Christian who disciples guys and as a social worker, I read many books on porn. Brian's book is practical without being pragmatic, rightly focusing on our beliefs about this life and the next. He provides a strong, positive vision for life without porn and gracefully strengthens the reader to move forward under grace. This is a must read for anyone struggling with porn or helping those who do.
