A lovely story
Little one loves this story and it has a really lovely moral about acceptance and seeing beyond someone's appearance.

A beautiful story!
I bought this for my 2 and a half year old grandson. He loves it! He calls it the friends story and asks for it again and again - now he recites parts of it all day long “ a red one, a blue one? No.That baby was purple from head to toe” it is a beautiful story showing diversity and how to overcome prejudice in a simple child friendly way. Amazing!!

A delightful book
Another delightful book from the wonderful Julia Donaldson. My three year old grandson just loves it, the illustrations are brilliant, it's a joy to read out loud. Lots of things to spot on every page so even more fun for small children. Would highly recommend.

Lovely story for 4 year old
This is just one of a number of Julia Donaldson books my grandson has and he loves them all. This is a particularly nice story about being different with a good storyline. The pictures are bright and colourful and the pages are substantial so hopefully the book will last well.

Beautiful way to teach your children about inclusion
Such a lovely book, about friends who look very different and whose families are intolerant. The two children meet, in secret, and become friends, which eventually leads to the families accepting each other. Told in a non-judgmental, child-friendly way, how better to teach your children acceptance and diversity.
