I've been a fan of Carb-boom's Banana Peach gel for years. I think its flavor is good whether I have one or ten-plus during a race. The texture is not syrupy, it's more similar to fruit puree. I like that it is natural and it is overall, very kind to my stomach. I would recommend.

I was so excited to start using these again! Banana peach is my favorite flavor! Tastes like banana baby food and goes down easy! Apple cinnamon tastes like apple pie filling! It’s like having dessert on the run!

These are my new go-to gels for cycling. The combination of both sodium and potassium for electrolytes is key for me and helps keep muscles firing properly, including the heart, for both high intensity and endurance efforts. The consistency and taste are similar to other gels: these are at the better end of the spectrum but I don't think I would call any gel great tasting. Its the contents that matter to me though, and these tick the important boxes. My one gripe with these, which applies to many other gels too, is that the tear-off top doesn't have a separate little connection piece so that after you've opened the packet the torn-off top stays connected so I don't have two separate pieces of trash to try and get back into my jersey pocket while moving. Still, not a reason not to buy: still 5 stars in my book!
