First off, this is not for fine coffee. It does an adequate job of retaining the grinds but some does escape into the the mug and sediments at the bottom. This is for medium to coarse coffee as retention in the mesh is far better. Also do not expect espresso strength coffee either. It is more akin to a cafetiere. It makes very good coffee.You need to find the right size spoon to put the grounds in otherwise it can be messy. Lastly do not overfill it and screw it on properly. The first time I used this I put too much coffee and did not twist the stick part on properly. The grinds got in the way and prevented adequate closure. So when I took it out the cup, coffee got everywhere.By the second or third cup, these teething issues will be resolved and it is the simplest thing to use. Put your coffee in, twist, pour hot water through the sieve and leave for at least 4 minutes. I tend to spin the Brew stick on the cup and dip it in and out the mug like a teabag. That just me though.I don't understand one review saying this floats on top. If you put enough coffee in and once saturated with water, it will sink.It has become part of my morning routine. Not much faffing about. I did not expect to like or use it this much. My mother laughed at me as she said it looked like a toilet brush. A week later, she was using it more than I. She was used to her instant coffee and has now gone off the taste of that. I now have to grind more coffee than normal.Suffice to say, I had to buy myself another one.

This is so easy to use and makes a great coffee, so much easier than having to make up a cafetiere for just one cup! Should have bought one sooner! Flavour all depends on the type of coffee and what you like. Easy to clean, I just rinse it under the tap after easy use and then when I put the dishwasher on pop that in too so it gets a proper clean.

It works really well,I use it every morning with ground coffee. Much easier to clean than a plunger one and is dishwasher friendly. ideal for a single mug,nearly any size. However I did make the tiny hole in the top of the handle a little bigger as I found it has a tendancy to float as the air can't get out through the wet mesh of the filter,,a 2mm hole works well, just dont plunge too hard as you may get a squirt of hot water out of the new hole.

I tried many different coffee makers for just one cup that tastes as good as filter. This is very easy to use, and clean and the coffee is great. Trial and error will soon let you know how much coffee to use. I use a heaped scoop, and leave 4 mins. Great coffee every time.

I loved this item in its ease of use and low maintenance. Unfortunately, the coffee it produces is just not strong enough for me and I found myself emptying the filter, adding more fresh ground coffee and adding to the water a second time to get it to the strength I need.I would definitely use this item on occasion but not regularly as a result. For anyone who likes strong coffee, I wouldn't recommend.

Bought this not really expecting it to be anything great, but I absolutely love it. It's really easy to use, easy to clean and by using different coffee strengths, adjusting the amount of coffee you put into it and how long you brew it for, you can tune it to your taste. It's also great for traveling as it's small and not easy to break.

Great little item couldn't be more simple to use almost as easy as making instant coffee and quick and easy to clean in seconds only down side is the design unfortunately looks like a bog brushJust wish I had found this years ago just need another one now so can leave one in work
