I'm giving this three stars because it's plastic-boned. If you are an experienced corset wearer, you would know that plastic boning might be more comfortable than steel-boned for reasons involving flexibility, but they are no where near the same level of quality. I bought this specifically to use as underwear beneath the bodice of a Cinderella costume. I wanted a "Disney waist" and needed a corset to achieve the look I was going for. The sides bunch up and so does the back. I will usually tighten a corset so much that I can't eat or drink anything (but I can still run and breath fine--eating and drinking water is just uncomfortable the way I wear corsets), so maybe this is just how tight I cinch it. From my experience with steel-boned cinchers and corsets, they will never bunch up anywhere no matter how tight you cinch it because the steel bones can't bend like plastic bones do.Either way, the corset, when worn a little loser, does lay flat and nicely like in the images here on Amazon. But I'm not convinced anyone in the comments who says they're "experienced corset wearers" knows what they're talking about if they say this is "super good" or "equal to other corsets I've owned."

I bought this gorgeous corset for a Halloween costume. I was very impressed by how beautiful the material was and how sturdy it is. I absolutely adore wearing this and it's quite comfortable! the only issue I had is that my waist is too small for the corset but that's was expected. this corset doesn't give support for your chest but I threw on a strapless bra and the problem was solved! It's well worth your money to buy this!

For the money it's decent. I was able to loosen it (completely) in order for it to fit then you will need someone to tighten it for you. It has a flap in the back I guess to cover your skin if the ribbons are loose. Didn't cover up much for me and looked weird but it's for wearing under a dress so I don't care. I got an XL for a 42 in hip measurement. I would suggest to maybe go up a size or two when ordering. Not worth returning as it does what I need it to. All in all, I like it.

I bought this for a Halloween costume. I could not find an orange corset so I bought this one and painted it with orange paint to make a goldfish costume. This fit was good but like another review it doesn't have much support so I used those padded inserts. Even when you buy corsets from Frederick's they recommend those inserts because the corset alone don't have much support for a push-up look.For less than $20, you cannot beat this corset. You can make it super tight and form fitting or loose and show some back between the laces.I highly recommend it.

Go with the size they tell you....I have never bought anything that was a 2x but I went with the size of my waist and it fits so perfectly. It provides a beautiful shape and you can adjust it with the strings. I am a 36 DD so I do have to wear a bra with it because the cups don't cup up far enough to cover me. It's perfect for the price!

Even the XXL was too small and there's no way to size up. So sad I had to return this
